But many sports gizmos not only look stylish and add authority to the athlete in the eyes of the newcomer, but also help in training, and even prevent the risk of injury.

Buff

Runners are often seen wearing a fun headgear that looks like a headscarf. It’s called a baffle.

Elena: Buff is a bandage around the neck, head or face, it can be used for outdoor training as a substitute for a scarf, cap, in some cases replaces a hair band.

The fabric from which the accessory is made is dense and not tearing. There are three types of straps – loops for pulling with a lock, straps and hooks. The choice of one or the other depends on the complexity of the exercises you are going to perform. To avoid injuries, it is necessary to choose what is suitable for you.

It should be noted that straps are not allowed in powerlifting, but if you are a beginner or amateur athlete, they will help you gain strength and muscle volume. Straps allow you to hold the dumbbell long enough, respectively, you will be able to work the target muscle group.

Bandages

Have you ever seen fighters wrapping bandages around their arms for some reason? It seems that athletes are injured and thus trying not to aggravate the situation. But it’s quite the opposite.

Special arm wraps fix the hand, knuckles and wrist in the correct position. This is necessary to avoid unnecessary injuries and sprains.

Boxing bandages perform at least two functions – protective and absorbent. Joint sprains and skin splits are what bandages can protect against. They also absorb much of the sweat that settles on gloves and can cause them to have a shorter lifespan.

Bandages come in different colors, cotton or made of synthetic fibers that give elasticity. Both materials have their advantages. When choosing, you should not only focus on them, but also on the length and width of the product.

Yoga belt

Yogis also have their own accessories. A belt, for example, is one of them.

Elena: The belt is used when there is a lack of flexibility and a lack of leverage of the arms and legs. It kind of compensates for the difference and you will be able to stretch more. You can get injured if you overdo the stretch, cut off circulation, or rub your skin with the belt or buckle.

The yoga belt will help to sort of “lengthen” your arms and legs. For example, if you can’t reach your feet with your hands while sitting on the floor, a belt will help.

They come in different lengths and colors, from different materials, with and without a buckle-regulator. It is almost impossible to give clear recommendations in choosing one or another device, because in such a case as stretching, it is important that everything was as comfortable and suitable for you as possible.
