A gorgeous retro shot of Maria Sharapova

During the advertising shoot Sharapova tried on the images of James Bond girls and heroines of comedies Gaidai. It turned out to be mind-blowing!

Five-time Grand Slam champion Maria Sharapova announced the end of her career in February 2020, but she didn’t say goodbye to the sport. The tennis star plunged headfirst into the fitness industry. During a promotional shoot for one of her projects, the Russian transformed as if she had just stepped off the screen of the most famous movies of the 70s.

Maria Sharapova, in addition to her candy brand Sugarpova, is now actively engaged in several other projects in the sports industry. So she cooperates with the training platform Skills, where she became one of the teachers of online lessons. In addition, the Russian is an investor and advisor to a firm producing massagers and other gadgets for body care. And in the spring Sharapova invested in a startup producing weighted bracelets. In the summer, Maria participated in advertising shoots, and now these shots have appeared in the public domain.

The idea of the advertising campaign of weighted fitness bracelets was to place the main character – Maria Sharapova – in the atmosphere of the 60s-70s, but at the same time to surround her with modern fitness gadgets. It turned out to be original! The tennis player organically got into the image of a girl of that time – bouffant hairstyle, bright makeup, long slender legs in stiletto sandals worn on sports socks. It is impossible, of course, in this shot not to notice the old “pudgy” lamp TV, acting as a nightstand for prizes. Yes, you can’t put Maria’s trophies from the Grand Slams on modern flat-screen plasmas.

The next retro image of Sharapova is a gorgeous blonde on a chaise lounge in a bikini: weighted bracelets on her legs and a fashion magazine in her hands. “Grace Kelly,” one of the tennis player’s followers wrote under this shot. And someone was inspired by the image of James Bond girl.

Maria herself commented on the photo as follows: “It’s always summer here. Just like in Leonid Gaidai’s movie “The Diamond Hand”: “Beach ensemble mini-bikini 69”.

And in this photo Sharapova appeared in the image of a desperate housewife, who manages to keep an eye on the garden and her figure.

Well here, in a convertible, it’s not so easy to recognize Maria. We don’t know if the Russian tennis player has ever watched the movie “Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Profession”, but looking at this shot we remember the words: “Alo, Galochka? You’re going to die! Terrific news! Yakin left his kikimora, well, and persuaded me to fly with him to Gagry”.

Now the photos from Maria Sharapova’s advertising retrosnap can be seen not only in the tennis player’s Instagram, but also all over Santa Monica, a suburb of Los Angeles. Images with Sharapova’s image are hung almost on all fences and poles. In general, Maria’s investment in weighted bracelets turned out to be a good idea. Now one standard bracelet in the U.S. sells for $ 49. And in Russia they can be bought from 7 thousand rubles. Recently Forbes placed this company in the list of 25 most actively developing companies. This is not surprising, because during the pandemic, the demand for fitness gadgets that can be used at home has increased several times. In 2020, about 500 thousand bracelets were sold and the company’s revenue is projected to reach $ 19 million, which is 9 times more than last year.
