Armenian Bruce Lee. How many push-ups did the world champion do?

We tell you why the world championship was held in Pskov and what Aaron Virabyan did to win.

Athlete Aaron Virabyan has already put his name in the Guinness Book of Records and does not stop at his achievements. First he did 107 push-ups on the uneven bars, then he repeated Bruce Lee’s unique push-ups on two fingers of one hand. Now the representative of Armenia has won the world championship in street wrestling held in Pskov.

The championship was held on a specially equipped vorkout platform, where Workout games competitions realized by the Russian Vorkout Federation have already been held in 2018. Pskov hosts large-scale sports events within the framework of the federal project “Sport is a norm of life”, which is included in the national project “Demography”.

Athletes from 18 countries took part in the competition, including Brazil, Chile, Morocco and Norway. Aaron competed in the “power walkout” category, showing excellent results:

– pull-ups with an additional weight of 24 kg – 18 repetitions,

– push-ups on the bars with an additional weight of 32 kg – 38 reps,

– squats with the weight of 90 kg – 86 repetitions.

Dmitry Lipanov took the second place on the podium, the third place went to the athlete from Poland.

How does Aaron manage to beat his opponents and break records?

Of course, it’s a matter of long and hard training, but not without genetics. He started training under the influence of stories about his grandfather, a world champion in weightlifting.

But the athlete himself believes that it is important to cultivate a warrior spirit. His records are not about earning money or fame. Aaron’s goal is to draw attention to himself in order to promote a healthy lifestyle among today’s young people.
