Training in the snow. Extreme for the hardy

Everyone is familiar with walruses in one way or another. Some have seen hardened daredevils plunging headfirst into icy water, and others have practiced winter swimming in open water. One thing is certain: swimming in an ice-hole is not for the faint-hearted. In fact, neither is the workout, which was invented by trainer and blogger Milena Pozdnyak. These exercises will suit those who want to take a risk and test themselves for strength.

What will you need for training in the cold?

To exercise in freezing weather, the first thing you need to do is ask yourself several times if you’re sure you need it. If so, be brave and confident in your decision. After all, not everyone will dare to train in light equipment in the snow and then dive into the ice-hole.

The only equipment you will need is an exercise mat. We also strongly recommend wearing gloves to avoid freezing hands and a hat. Perform each exercise for a short time, about half a minute, but intensively.

Complex burpee with jumping variation

Начална позиция: standing.

Lower yourself into a plank position and then perform a lateral push-up. As you jump, pull your legs up to your hands and return to the starting position. Do a split jump. Repeat all movements.

Again perform a side plank with twisting and circular movement of the leg. Now lean on the other side.
