Why is it important to change your training program?

According to the coach, before answering this question, it is important to understand the mechanisms by which exercise changes our bodies for the better.

During physical activity we put our body under stress: if the load is chosen correctly, we sooner or later adapt to it. The body becomes more resilient, so that the next time it will be easier to cope with the same load.

What happens to the body if you do not change your training plan for a long time?

Month 1. Progress at a high level: the beginning of adaptation of the cardiovascular system, musculoskeletal system, central nervous system. Loads at this stage seem high, says the expert.

Month 2. Progress is good: all body systems have adapted. The loads are still significant, but they are already easier.

Month 3. Progress is still continuing, but only slightly: the load has become habitual and does not cause any difficulties.

Month 4. No progress: the load is no longer practically felt and is taken for granted.

Month 5-6. Progress goes in the opposite direction: the body does not perceive the training as a load. At this stage, according to the expert, the muscles do not react to the previous weights, you stand in one place and stop progressing.
