Not to unbend: how to get rid of back pain?
Ignore unpleasant sensations is not worth it. It can lead to injuries.
If you spend most of the day in a sitting position at the computer or routine work, for sure the sensations of fatigue and clamps in the back occur often. What happens if you ignore fatigue and how to get rid of discomfort in this area, World Class trainer Alexander Karpov will help you understand.
What causes back fatigue most often?
The feeling of fatigue, congestion, hypertonus of muscles in the lumbar region is most often caused by several factors:
- weak, untrained abs;
- unstretched, being in constant tone muscles of the lower leg, posterior surface of the thigh, buttocks, as well as the iliopsoas muscle.
Together, this leads to discomfort in the lower back and improper distribution of load on the spinal stabilizer muscles.
What happens if you ignore fatigue?
If you do not pay attention to discomfort in the back and do not remove hypertonus from the muscles, then it will only intensify.
Hypertonus is a pathological condition in which there is no full relaxation of fibers and myocytes after receiving the appropriate nerve impulse.
Ultimately, this can lead not only to a constant feeling of discomfort, but also to the risk of getting an intervertebral hernia or protrusion. The latter is a pathological process in the spine in which the intervertebral disc bulges into the spinal canal without rupturing the fibrous ring – a variant of a herniated disc.
What exercises will help relieve back tension?
Get rid of the feeling of fatigue will help stretching in the following sequence: first the muscles of the lower leg, then the back of the thigh and buttocks. After that – exercises to stretch the extensor muscles of the spine.It is also worth a good stretch of the iliopsoas muscle and add exercises to train the abs.
According to the trainer, it is worth paying attention to the performance of exercises in the gym, because the wrong technique, errors in the starting position or banal ignorance of some nuances of training, can lead to undesirable load on the lumbar muscles and other muscles that should not work during exercise.
