Minimal cost. How to lose weight by exercising without equipment

Now Sasha Selivanov deservedly calls himself the voice and soul of Fitstars – a successful YouTube channel about sports, health and motivation. The blogger regularly visits the gym to stay in great shape. It’s hard to imagine that two years ago Sasha weighed 113 kilograms, gorged on fast food and feared any exercise, even squats. At some point Selivanov wanted to improve his body without buying a subscription to a fitness club. And, of course, to change his attitude to sports. We tell you how he managed to cope with both tasks.

30 days of training with his own weight

In 2017, Sasha turned to crossfit guru Mikhail Prygunov and joined the New Life program. Under the keen supervision of the mentor, Selivanov began to work out at home, on a special program that excludes the use of any equipment. All the novice athlete had in his arsenal was a mat and a laptop with video lessons. Sasha’s task was to perform 30 circuit training sessions in 30 days and stick to a proper diet. These were the conditions under which weight loss became possible.

At the first stage of the program, Selivanov every day performed different exercises with his own weight, which were grouped into circles. For example, the final workout of five circles included lunges for 22 reps, stand-ups, push-ups, and rock climbing. At first glance, it may seem easy to accomplish such a task. But when you add high intensity, 100 percent commitment and a starting weight of 112.8 pounds, the difficulty becomes palpable.

Changes in attitude towards sport and life

Before participating in the program, the blogger consistently woke up around noon and sincerely loved fast food, sodas, fatty, refined food. Because of this, Selivanov spent a considerable 30-40 thousand rubles a month on food. In the process of losing weight, he learned to get up at 9 a.m. without an alarm clock, and to spend half as much money on healthy foods. By the way, although the diet was reduced, but remained varied: Sasha allowed himself steaks and avocados. But the main changes occurred in his attitude to sports and life in general. Selivanov started practicing for pleasure. He coped with difficulties, knowing that it was definitely worth it. And he lost interest in fast food altogether.

You can live a fun and cool life without poisoning yourself with unhealthy food.
