The most stylish man of the decade. Which brands does Roger Federer wear?

On December 20, it became known who won the nomination “The Most Stylish Man of the Decade” according to GQ magazine. The honorary title in the fashion industry went to the Swiss tennis player and third racket of the world Roger Federer. In the final stage, the athlete received 59% of the votes and bypassed the American actor Timothy Chalamet. Initially, soccer player David Beckham, basketball players LeBron James and Russell Westbrook, hip-hop artists Kanye West and A$AP Rocky also claimed victory.

We tell you what global brands Roger Federer favors and why he is really the most stylish.

Technical play and minimalistic style on the court. Nike and Uniqlo

As it was once said about Federer, the tennis player’s game can be compared to a Swiss watch. It is precise, stable and reliable. That is probably why the athlete has a record 20 Grand Slam titles and is the champion of 103 ATP games.

Following his numerous victories, Roger attracted the attention of major sponsors. For 20 years he cooperated with Nike and regularly appeared on the court, trainings and photo shoots in stylish images from the sports brand.

In the fall of 2018, the tennis world was shocked by the news that Federer’s cooperation with the company ended. Since then, the Japanese brand Uniqlo has become the main outfitter of the champion. And, we must admit, their tandem looks quite impressive.

Not about the clothes. Mercedes and Moët & Chandon

Two more brands with which the athlete is connected by contracts and personal preferences. Roger uses Mercedes cars in his everyday life and seems to be quite happy with them.

The German brand, in its turn, supports the tennis player in every possible way: it entrusts him with test drives of powerful models, invites him to shoot commercials and awards him victories in prestigious prizes. For example, in the Laureus World Sports Awards.

Federer became the face of Moët & Chandon in 2013, and their partnership continues to this day. Symbolically, the French brand is a sponsor of major tennis and other sporting events, it is also called “champagne for winners”. The company has more than once organized parties in honor of the Maestro: for the 20th anniversary of his career or for the 100th match in the ATP-tour.

Casual style. Comfort is more important than brand

Perhaps if you meet an athlete in real life, you won’t distinguish him from the average passerby. Unless he bumps into you with a racket in his hands. After all, Federer’s everyday style is more about comfort than about an expensive brand.

Not so long ago, the tennis player admitted that he loves shopping for clothes and really enjoys shopping. At the beginning of his career, he was completely ignorant of trends and official style, but now Roger feels equally well in a sports and business suit. And people close to him, colleagues and fans are ready to vote for him to be named the most stylish man of the decade.
