How to organize your day competently. 5 rules of a business coach and psychologist

Every day we face the phrases “I don’t have time for anything” and “Why aren’t there 25 hours in a day?” from people around us who don’t know how to organize their day properly. The problem of lack of time arises not because of busyness, but because of the wrong skills to manage it. To start to manage everything in time and properly organize your day, you need to learn how to use time wisely.

Shares golden rules for organizing your day.

The day starts from the evening of the previous day

This means that you should have the task of going to bed so that in the morning you wake up at the first ring of the alarm clock, or better yet, wake up before it. This way you will have time to do your morning routine without rushing and set yourself up for a positive mood.

If you, on the contrary, when waking up many, many times rearrange the alarm clock and continue to be in a state of half-sleep, periodically turning off the bell, it will not add to your strength and energy. This behavior makes a person broken, without faith in themselves and in the fact that something good and motivating will happen that day.

The practice of constantly postponing the ringing of the alarm clock is tantamount to not keeping your word to yourself. After all, when you set your alarm in the evening, you set yourself to wake up at a certain time, and those “five more minutes” fundamentally change the mood for the day.

Everything has its place

It goes something like this: “You can do surgery in the dugout, but it’s much more efficient to do it in the operating room.” Simply put, every task should have its proper place. For example, hold meetings in a meeting room, write reports at an equipped desk, pray in a church, work in a space equipped for this process.

The principle of focus

To get organized and motivate yourself, you need to write out what specifically takes up your time. For example, you spend a lot of time on social networks or YouTube, games on your phone, messengers. You need to evaluate where your attention goes, how it is distributed during the day. If possible, reduce or remove these absorbers from the time that you allocate to work and tasks where you need concentration.

Let’s say, for example, that a lot of people nowadays are constantly reading the news and spending time on the internet. Try to give up most sources of information, for example, delete YouTube from your phone and view the information you need only from your computer at home. This way, you won’t “fall off the grid,” but you’ll have more time on your hands as well.

To get rid of addiction, it will take more than a week. But the main thing is to start. How exactly, read the link below.

Pay attention to the main things

Once a week, for example on the weekend, you need to ask yourself what is the most important thing in your life. What are the most important roles and goals in your life. Then for the week, schedule three appointments with those tasks and goals.

Let’s say you have a goal to raise good children, so you schedule a three-hour meeting with your children on Sunday. Take this goal very seriously, protect it, carry it within you, and don’t allow factors to arise that might cause you to cancel this goal.

Or, for example, your goal and priority is a happy marriage. Schedule a date on Sunday or the following Thursday evening and protect that Thursday evening from any time sinks and other factors that could ruin that date.

Based on the above, the conclusion is this: everything important should be spread out at the beginning of the week over the following days. At the end of the week, don’t forget to evaluate whether you succeeded in accomplishing what you had planned. Then set new goals. Meet with your most important tasks, give them time.

“Eat the frog” right away

When you arrive at your workplace, assess what your most unpleasant task is. This is the kind of task you usually want to put off until the middle of the day or even the end of the day. But you need to let go of these thoughts of procrastination and perform the very task that does not arouse positive emotions first.

You need to, as they say, “eat the frog” right away. The specific tips we covered earlier will help you with this.

It’s unpleasant, but when you complete the task that took the most energy from you, you have a lot of energy because the most unpleasant part is over.

Use these rules immediately and you’ll see results in no time. Learn to distribute your tasks and organize your day. In time management, it is important not to put off innovations until tomorrow.
