Protein boost: 7 chicken dishes that will strengthen your muscles

Natural protein is an essential component for muscle growth and strengthening, and the most popular source of it is confidently called chicken. Of course, for maximum preservation of useful properties, meat is best steamed, cooked in water and served without harmful additives. But sometimes you want to diversify your diet so much that you can deviate from the familiar rules. We have selected for you seven hearty chicken dishes that will please you with interesting presentation and will benefit your muscles.

Crispy nuggets

Ingredients:

  • chicken breast – 2 pcs;
  • eggs – 2 pcs;
  • sugar-free corn flakes – the amount depends on the size of the chicken pieces;
  • spices and salt to taste.

Method of preparation

Chicken fillet slightly beaten and cut into small slices. Then salt the chicken and add your favorite spices. In a bowl mix eggs with salt, pepper and spices. Grind the cornflakes in a blender or by hand using a glass. Dip each piece in egg and roll in cornflakes.

Fry the nuggets in a frying pan or bake in the oven for about 20 minutes at 180 degrees. The finished dish can be served with fresh vegetables and your favorite natural sauce: for example, from soft cottage cheese with salt, garlic and herbs.

Crispy pasta with vegetables

Ingredients:

  • chicken breast – 1 pc;
  • bow tie pasta – 3 cups;
  • Cajun spice blend – amount depends on the size of the breast;
  • parmesan – 3/4 cup;
  • flour – 1 cup;
  • eggs – 2 pcs;
  • breadcrumbs – 1 cup;
  • butter – 5 tablespoons;
  • sunflower oil – 2 tablespoons;
  • olive oil – 2 tablespoons;
  • mixed bell peppers of different colors – 1/2 cup;
  • sliced mushrooms – 1 cup;
  • chopped red onion – 1 cup;
  • salt – 1 teaspoon;
  • garlic – 3 cloves;
  • heavy cream – 1 cup;
  • basil – 2 tablespoons.

Preparation method

Cover a cooking board with food wrap. Sprinkle chicken breast on both sides with Cajun spice mix (you can make your own), cover with foil and baste lightly. In three different bowls put beaten eggs, flour and breadcrumbs – add 1/4 cup of parmesan and mix. Roll the chicken first in the flour, then in the egg, and then in the parmesan breadcrumbs.

Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a frying pan, add sunflower oil to it and fry the breast on both sides until crusty. Do not drain the oil from under the chicken.

Pour olive oil into a saucepan and put 3 spoons of butter. Throw in a mixture of chopped bell peppers: in our case it is red, yellow and green. Then add the mushrooms, onions and salt. Keep on the heat, stirring, add chopped garlic and Cajun spices. Cook a little longer, pour chicken broth and cream into the mixture. Put the pre-cooked pasta, remaining parmesan and basil into the saucepan and stir to combine.

Serve on a plate along with diced breaded chicken. We agree, there are plenty of calories in this dish, but it is hearty. You can afford such pasta, the main thing is to know the measure.

Chicken accordion baked with vegetables and cheese

Ingredients:

  • chicken breast – 2 pcs;
  • tomato – 1 pc;
  • cheese – 1/3 package;
  • bell pepper – 1/2 pcs;
  • sour cream – 2 teaspoons;
  • mustard – 1 teaspoon;
  • soy sauce – about 1 tablespoon;
  • salt, pepper and Italian herbs to taste.

Method of preparation

On the chicken breast make parallel cuts about 1-1,5 cm from each other. Salt, pepper and add spices to taste. In a saucepan mix sour cream, mustard and a small amount of soy sauce. Transfer the breasts into a baking dish and pour the sauce over them. Cut cheese and pepper into bars, tomato into half rings and put them in the holes in the meat.

Cover the dish with foil and send it to the oven. Bake for about 40-45 minutes at 180 degrees. 10 minutes before the readiness open the foil to fry the crust.

Chicken chips

Ingredients:

  • chicken fillet – the amount depends on your desire;
  • salt and spices to taste.

Preparation method

Thinly slice slightly frozen fillet, then salt and sprinkle with your favorite spices. Cover the tray with parchment, if desired, grease with oil and put the resulting slices on it. Send to the oven for 25-30 minutes, bake at 180 degrees. Serve the chips cooled.

Chicken under a fur coat

Ingredients:

  • chicken breast – 2 pcs;
  • onion – 1 pc;
  • eggs – 3 pcs;
  • sour cream – 3 tablespoons;
  • cheese – 80-100 g;
  • large tomato – 1 pc;
  • vegetable oil;
  • salt and paprika to taste.

Method of preparation

Cut chicken breasts into small pieces, and tomatoes – in circles. Chop onions and grate cheese. Fry onions in vegetable oil until light golden color. Put it to the chicken, add salt and paprika, mix well.

For the filling mix eggs, sour cream, cheese and a little salt in a bowl. Grease a baking mold with vegetable oil, put the chicken in it and cover with the filling. Put tomatoes on top. We take it into an oven heated to 190 degrees for 45-50 minutes.

Samsa with chicken

Ingredients:

  • minced chicken – 300 g;
  • eggs – 2 pcs;
  • onion – 1 pc;
  • garlic – 1 clove;
  • lavash strips of 10-12 cm;
  • milk – 30 ml;
  • salt, pepper and sesame seeds to taste.

Method of preparation

Mix minced meat and egg in a bowl. Fry onion in a pan and add meat to it. Salt, pepper and throw garlic. Divide the pita into strips, wrap the minced meat in them to make envelopes and dip in egg and milk. Fry and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Creamy mushroom soup with chicken

Ingredients:

  • boneless chicken breast – 1 pc;
  • vegetable oil – 10-20 g;
  • butter – 10 g;
  • fresh mushrooms – 300 g;
  • potatoes – 1-2 pcs;
  • carrots – 1 pc;
  • onion – 1 pc;
  • garlic – 1 clove;
  • dill to taste;
  • melted cream cheese – 2 packs;
  • salt and black pepper to taste.

Method of preparation

Soak the chicken in a brackish solution in advance to make it better salted and juicy. Cut the breast into cubes and lightly fry in a cauldron in vegetable and butter oil. Cut mushrooms into plates and add to the meat, cook until slightly golden. Chop the onion and fry it too. Finely grate carrots, fry and pour 1.8 liters of boiling water. Let the liquid boil, salt and throw in it potatoes, cut into cubes. Cover with a lid and cook until the potatoes are ready.

At this time dice processed cheese and then add to the soup. Throw in black pepper and stir until the cheese is dissolved. Then put chopped dill, pressed garlic and stir once again.
