Indian wedding

In May this year, an ordinary Indian couple made the world’s headlines. The fact is that the lovers got married right on board an airplane and thus violated the quarantine restrictions.

They decided to take such a step for a reason – because of the increased incidence of coronavirus in India, they had to cancel their wedding. But they did not hesitate, rented an airplane and legalized their relationship in the sky. There were 160 guests on board – but only because of the pandemic in India allowed no more than 50 people at the event. They were not crowded – everyone had fun and celebrated the wedding.

After the celebration the newlyweds planned to go on a post-wedding trip to Madurai – the largest city in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. But many guests were without masks and gloves, which angered the airline representatives.

The couple’s impressions of the holiday were spoiled by a criminal case, which was initiated soon after the incident. The crew of the airplane was even suspended from flying. But they will remember this wedding for a long time.

The birth of a child

An ordinary flight from Salt Lake City to Hawaii changed one passenger’s life. A 38-year-old American woman became a mom right on board the plane. The woman, who was seven months pregnant, assured that she did not even suspect that a new life was being born in her.

During the flight, unexpectedly for herself and other passengers, she went into labor – that’s a really unforeseen turn of events. The unusual event took place in May this year. Fortunately for the passenger, three nurses and a family therapy doctor were on the same flight. The doctors were not confused and at an altitude of 12 thousand meters built an improvised maternity ward near the landing gate. Of course, there were no special tools on board. But the doctors found a way out – they used everything that was at hand: shoelaces to cut and tie the umbilical cord, hot water in bottles and electronic watches to measure the newborn’s pulse. The medics maintained the baby’s condition for a full three hours.

Upon arrival, the new parents were greeted with applause and the mother and baby were hospitalized. According to the woman, she was stunned, but in a good way. The father called the case a miracle, because the baby was born three months premature.

The Network even organized a fundraiser for them at the time and raised more than $6,000.

The passenger opened the emergency exit

It’s normal to be nervous and anxious before a flight. But sometimes fear drives people to do strange things.

In 2014, one passenger wanted to get off the plane as soon as possible and opened the emergency exit. Immediately after the airliner landed on Hainan Island, he activated the inflatable gangway. According to the man, he misinterpreted the crew’s briefing. The passenger allegedly did not know that this way you can leave the plane only in emergencies. The flight attendants wanted to stop him, but their attempts were in vain. The prank cost the man a fine of 16 thousand dollars.

A similar case occurred in 2018, when the passenger became stuffy and accidentally opened the emergency evacuation hatch. The man originally planned to open the porthole to ventilate the confined space. But when he pressed the wrong lever, an inflatable ladder automatically unfolded in front of the shocked passenger. Apparently, he also took the instruction in his own way, so the airline fined him 70,000 yuan.

Snake on board

In 2016, there was an equally strange case. During the flight, a huge snake crawled out of the luggage compartment. How exactly the reptile got on board is unknown.

Frightened passengers were forced to watch the snake the entire flight and stay away from it. What people with herpetophobia experienced, we can only guess. The incident was clearly a nightmare for many.

To avoid unpleasant consequences, the crew had to emergency land the plane. After that, the staff isolated the reptile.
