Amazing resemblance: bodybuilder Janice Garay is indistinguishable from Jennifer Lopez

Both girls have Latin roots and just love sports.

Bodybuilder Janice Garay in 2017 published a photo of herself on Instagram. Nothing special, a simple selfie from the bathroom, where she stands in front of the mirror. But this shot went viral after hitting her favorites on the social network. Many people wrote in the comments that the photo is of famous singer and actress Jennifer Lopez.

Garay also has Latin roots, and she too was born in the United States – in Brownsville, Texas. At the age of six, the girl moved from there to Houston, the largest city in the state. In an interview with the local edition of Khou, Janice said that she was not ready for the sharply increased attention to her person, but the comparison with the star is pleasant to her.

It was an ordinary selfies in the bathroom. But people immediately started writing that I was Jlo [Jennifer Lopez]. I never had a thought in my head that I looked like her, but now the whole world is talking about the resemblance. For me, JLo is an idol. She’s the one I’ve been oriented towards since I was a kid. So I’m flattered by the similarities.

Janis even took a pseudonym in the style of Jennifer Lopez. The singer calls herself Jenny from the Block and the bodybuilder is Jay From Houston. That’s the name of her website and social media pages. Garay now has 247,000 followers on Instagram.

Among other photos in the account of the girl there is quite funny. It is a collage consisting of two frames. On one – Jennifer Lopez and Dwayne Scala Johnson, and on the other – Janice herself. The caption reads, “If Scala and J.Lo had a daughter, she would look like…”

Garay even asked followers to tag the real Jennifer under her photos to get the singer’s attention. The bodybuilder said she would love to meet her and take a photo together.

Well, last year the artist came to Texas for a concert that was held at the Toyota Center Sports Arena. Of course, the bodybuilder was among the audience. Some fans at the stadium couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw Janice Garay in the crowd and asked to take pictures.

The funny thing is that even some publications confused the singer and the bodybuilder, posting a photo of Janis Garay from the stadium in the article.
