Snow is gradually enveloping the mountain slopes, creating ideal conditions for skiing. But what to do if you can’t go to Elbrus or Arkhyz? The right answer is not to get upset. If you stay in Moscow, there is an opportunity to ski or snowboard, go tubing or try freeride. Especially for residents and guests of the capital we have prepared several winter locations.

Sparrow Hills Sports and Tourist Complex

Vorobyovy Gory is the highest natural point of the city, it offers an incredible panorama of Moscow. This is enough to make you want to ride here at least once. If we turn to history, the first tracks appeared here in 1900, over time this place has become very comfortable for skiing. Now on Sparrow Hills there are three ski slopes, snowboard park, ski jump, chairlift and even recreation areas with rental shops.

Working hours: Monday 16:00-21:00, Tuesday through Thursday 11:00-21:00, Friday 11:00-23:00, Saturday and holidays 10:00-23:00, Sunday 10:00-21:00.

Prices: you can pay for each lift 50-120 rubles for an adult depending on the day of the week, for a child in this case you need to pay 30-90 rubles. It is also possible to buy a day pass. On weekdays an adult ski pass for a day costs 1900, children’s 1400, and a discounted one costs 1520 rubles. On weekends and holidays the prices go up to 2400, 1900 and 1920 respectively.

Lata Trek Sports and Ecological Complex

Walking in the snow, sledding on inflatable sleds and, of course, skiing or snowboarding down the slope – all this awaits you in Krylatskoe. On the territory of Lata Trek there are six ski slopes, the length of which varies from 150 to 450 meters, each equipped with elevators and safety nets. And in the snow park you will find ski jumps and air pads. You can rent all the necessary equipment or use the services of one of the four ski schools.

Opening hours: Monday 14:00-23:30, Tuesday through Thursday 9:00-23:30, Friday 9:00-1:00, Saturday 8:00-1:00, Sunday 8:00-23:30.

Prices: the cost of a ski pass is 100 rubles, then you need to replenish the card, because from its balance will be written off the price of each lift, from 50 to 160 rubles depending on the day of the week and time of day. There are also season passes that allow you to use the elevator for a lower price. Thus, the “Sportsman” tariff costs 15,000 rubles and allows you to climb on weekdays for 20 rubles during the day and 70 in the evening. There is a tariff VIP for 30 000 rubles, in addition to discounts for skiing during the week, you will get a discount for the weekend, the maximum cost of lifting with such a season ticket – 120 rubles. Children’s season pass – 5000 rubles.

Sport complex “KANT”

In total, the sports complex includes 20 slopes with a total length of 3550 meters. Here you can not only ride, but also organize competitions for time, try out the ski jump and do jibbing. People of all ages and all levels of training will be able to ride here: 12 slopes are open for skiing with a ski pass, the other eight are available for working with an instructor, there is also a zone for the youngest visitors.

Working hours: Monday 14:00-23:00, Tuesday through Sunday 9:00-23:00. Tyubing works on a different schedule: weekdays 15:00-21:00, weekends 9:00-21:00. Mini-snow park “Iguana”: Monday 14:00-22:00, Tuesday through Sunday 10:00-22:00.

Prices: ski passes are bought for a certain amount, from which each ascent to the mountain is deducted, so, the most budget option will cost 2000 rubles, for this amount you can go up to 30 times, depending on the day of the week and time. There are also options for 5, 9 and 12 thousand rubles, higher price – more ascents. Unlimited subscription for the whole season costs 34 900 rubles. An hour of tubing will cost 600 rubles on weekdays and 900 rubles on weekends.

Uzkoye Ski Center

This is a small slope located in the capital, the length of the artificial track here is 200 meters, the height difference on it is 40 meters. There are three elevators, one of which is a “baby elevator”. Beginners have an opportunity to use the training slope to feel confident on skis or board.

Prices: one ascent to the slope on a weekday until 17:00 will cost 45 rubles, with the onset of the evening the price rises to 60 rubles, on weekends and holidays one ascent will cost 80 rubles. There is an opportunity to use the training slope, it costs 300 rubles per hour, but to use it you need to pay for the services of an instructor.

Yakhroma Park

This is not just a park, it is a year-round resort with hotels, entertainment and, of course, active recreation in the Moscow region. There are four slopes with pistes of different complexity, the maximum length of the piste is 650 meters, and the greatest height difference is 65 meters. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, there are two additional winter entertainments: all-time favorite tubing and tobogan. Have not heard about tobogan? It is a railroad track with twists and turns, on which special carts move, accelerating due to the weight of passengers. Bright emotions and a sea of fun will definitely stay here.

Working hours: Monday 12:00-23:00, Sunday and Tuesday through Thursday 10:00-23:00, Friday 10:00-24:00. On Saturday and holidays, the park is open from 10:00-1:00. The tubing track: Sunday and Monday through Thursday 10:00-23:00, Friday and Saturday 10:00-24:00. Tobogan works in the following mode: Monday 12:00-23:00, Tuesday through Sunday 10:00-23:00.

Prices: an unlimited ski pass for one day costs 1500 rubles on weekdays and 3000 on weekends, but there is another option – to pay for each lift separately, for an adult it costs 50 rubles on weekdays and 100 rubles on weekends, and for the passage of a child must pay 25 or 50 rubles depending on the day of the week. Children under six years old can visit the slope for free, but only if accompanied by an adult. One hour of tubing on weekdays costs 700 rubles, and on weekends – 1000 rubles. One ride on a toboggan will cost 400 rubles.

Krasnaya Gorka skiing complex

Overcoming only 13 kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road along the Warsaw highway, you will find yourself in the ski center, from the main peak of which opens an incredible panoramic view of the whole Podolsk. In total there are six slopes with the length from 140 to 380 meters. A snow park is organized for snowboarders. If you are a beginner or want to introduce your child to winter sports, this place is also ideal, because there is not only a training slope, but also experienced instructors.

Working hours: Monday 14:00-22:00, Tuesday through Friday 11:00-22:00, Saturday and Sunday 10:00-22:00.

Prices: a ski pass card costs 100 rubles, then each ascent to the training slope costs 30 rubles on weekdays and 40 on weekends. Prices for the main slopes are a little higher, for one lift on weekdays will have to pay 50 rubles, lifts on Friday evening (after 19:00) and at weekends cost 90 rubles.

“FreeStyle” Extreme Park

The history of this skiing complex begins in 1991, when the first piste was opened, over time it has grown. Now the territory of the park is 4.5 hectares, here you can find a variety of activities for every taste. There are four slopes in the extreme park: training, main, children’s and tubing slopes. And if necessary, you can always use the services of an instructor.

Working hours: Monday 16:00-24:00, Tuesday through Friday 12:00-24:00, Saturday 10:00-24:00, Sunday 10:00-22:00.

Prices: a season ski pass costs 21,000 rubles. If you want to ride just one day, it will cost 1100 rubles on weekdays and 1400 rubles on weekends. For children, a day pass is cheaper: 900 rubles on weekdays and 1200 on weekends. An hour of tubing will cost 900 rubles on weekdays and 1200 on weekends.

Gai Severin Ski Club

In 1976, the first piste was opened in this place and a small elevator was installed, then this place was called “Chulkovo”. Years went by, the ski base developed, and the non-profit partnership “Ski Club Guy Severin” was opened here. Now four tracks are available for downhill skiing: “Zvezda”, “Lesnaya”, “Training” and “Instructor’s”. The longest is “Lesnaya” – its length is 420 meters, but the greatest height difference is on the track “Zvezda”, it is 76 meters.

Where: Moscow region, Ramensky district, Telmana settlement, Kurgannaya street, 1.

Working hours: Monday 14:00-24:00, Tuesday through Friday 11:00-24:00, Saturday and Sunday 9:00-24:00.

Prices: first you need to buy the ski pass itself for 200 rubles, and then replenish its balance. When refilling from 10 rubles to 2990 each ruble will be equal to one point. When replenishing for 3000 rubles on the card will appear 4000 points, and when replenishing for 5000 – 7000 points. Further it is worth to understand the system of payment for lifts. From Monday to Friday one ascent to the tracks “Zvezda” and “Lesnaya” for an adult costs 60 points, and for a child – 40 points, on weekends the same tracks will cost 100 and 60 points respectively. Each ascent to “Teachable” is cheaper: 30 and 20 points on weekdays, 50 and 30 points on weekends.

Lisya Gora Ski Complex

This ski resort appeared relatively recently, in 2007. Now there are five main slopes, as well as a training slope and a tubing slide. The maximum length of the snow carpet is 450 meters, and the height difference reaches 95 meters. And the slopes are divided not only by the scale, but also by the level of difficulty, somewhere the slope is sharper, and somewhere, on the contrary, allows you to enjoy a measured skiing. On the spot you can rent equipment or take your own to the workshop to be sure in the safety of entertainment.

Where: Moscow region, Balashikha, Leonovskoe sh.

Working hours: Monday 13:00-23:00, Tuesday through Friday 10:00-23:00, Saturday and holidays 10:00-23:00, Sunday 10:00-22:00.

Prices: you can choose any way to pay for the lifts, depending on your desires and possibilities. There are season passes, they are designed for a certain number of lifts, so for 5500 you will get 100 lifts on weekdays, and for 40 000 – all three thousand lifts regardless of the day of the week. You can buy a ski pass for 70 rubles and pay separately for each lift. On weekdays until 18:00 you have to pay 85 rubles for each lift, after the price rises to 95 rubles. On weekends the price for lifts also increases: 145 before 17:00 and 120 – after. Rent tubing on weekdays costs 300 rubles, and on weekends – 400 rubles per hour, you also need to pay for each ascent up the mountain, 50 rubles from Monday to Friday and 100 rubles – on Saturday and Sunday.

L. Tyagachev Ski Resort

The oldest alpine skiing complex in the Dmitrovsky district of the Moscow region is known for its high-quality slopes, even members of the Russian national alpine skiing and snowboarding team train here. In total, the complex includes 12 slopes, the maximum length is 600 meters, and the height difference is 96 meters. The resort also offers an opportunity to go ice skating or tubing – no one will be bored. In addition to skating, we recommend you to walk around the picturesque places or have a snack in a cafe, and if there is no desire to return, you can stay overnight in the hotel and visit the bath complex with a swimming pool.

Working mode: Monday through Thursday 10:00-23:00, Friday 10:00-24:00, Saturday 9:00-24:00, Sunday 9:00-23:00. Tubing operates in a different mode: Monday through Thursday 12:00-23:00, Friday 12:00-24:00, Saturday 9:00-24:00, Sunday 9:00-23:00.

Prices: there are four ski pass rates to choose from, the minimum cost is 1,000 rubles and the maximum is 18,000. Preferential and children’s passes are sold at a discount, for which you have to pay 500 rubles. A ski pass provides access to the slopes, but for each ascent you have to pay extra, prices vary from 50 to 200 rubles depending on the height of the slope and the day of the week.
