In 1926, Lebanese actress Badia Masabni opened a nightclub Opera Casino in Cairo. She became the popularizer of belly dance as we know it today. Badia introduced Oriental technique to European solo dance, and the result was a huge success. Today you will learn this unique style and learn the basic moves.
The basic elements – movements of the hips, chest and shoulders in different directions and on different trajectories, as well as waves with the hands. Try each element separately at first, and as you master, you can move on to their combination, and you will already have a full-fledged dance.
