Viral curtain: which countries Russians can still fly to

Day after day, the international news feed is filled with sad news due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus. The government of every country is trying to protect its inhabitants from the disease. Therefore, many countries are closing their air, land and sea borders. However, there are still such places on the globe, to which you can fly and not face infection and various bans.

Under the ban: which countries are no longer accessible to Russian citizens?

It is already impossible for Russians to travel to the European Union, as the borders of the Schengen zone are closed for the next month. Also, the authorities strongly recommend in the near future to refuse flights to North Korea, China, Iran and the United States. Russia, in turn, bans foreign citizens from entering the country. The United Arab Emirates and the Dominican Republic will close their borders in the coming days. Cyprus, Georgia, Turkey and Latin America have already done so.

It will not be possible to make a trip to Ukraine, as the neighboring country has decided not to allow foreigners on its territory. To get to Moldova by train will not work now either: Russian Railways has suspended railroad communication with this state. Earlier, trains to Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic were banned, according to the official website of the company.

Yesterday it became known that previously safe Montenegro refuses to let about a thousand Russians back home. A number of airlines can not make scheduled flights, so tourists are forced to temporarily stay abroad. So flying to Montenegro now is clearly not worth it.

Russians can relax and let go of thoughts about the coronavirus in Cuba and Maldives. The governments of the island countries do not plan to restrict entry. The official press service of the Maldives Tourism Office says that the island is quite safe now.

Despite the difficult epidemiological situation in the world, there is still a chance to safely reach and rest in the Maldives. It is still safe here, and the “one island/one hotel” type of vacation is becoming the best defense against the spread of COVID-19.

The U.S. is still allowing Russians to come, but you may have visa problems far from the coronavirus.

Still, remember that now it is necessary to monitor your health and do your best to protect yourself and your loved ones from infection. Be vigilant and follow the necessary rules of hygiene.
