What kind of kebab you can eat on a diet

We found out what can be dangerous to many people’s habitual red meat.

From what meat can you eat kebab on PP? How is it better to cook it?

The warmer it gets outside, the more tempting it looks like a trip to the dacha. For many, such weekends are inextricably linked with a picnic, including kebabs in nature. But what to do if you follow a healthy diet, and you want to try meat?

Nitrosamines

Formed during frying from nitrates present in meat. Several modern studies tell about their effect on the body, but the information is ambiguous. Some claim that these substances provoke cancer, others assure that nitrosamines reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. There is still no consensus, but, in my opinion, this is already a sign to think about their impact on health.

Glycation end products

Appear in the process of roasting meat and are directly related to the aging process – accelerate it. In addition, they increase the risk of developing type II diabetes, heart attack, stroke and some other diseases.

What kind of meat should I choose for a PP kebab?

For myself and my family, I prefer turkey because of the high amount of valuable protein (including essential amino acids), vitamins and minerals. It is considered one of the safest types of meat for the body. Including it is suitable for those who want to lose weight.

I recommend cutting back on red meat consumption because of its proven harmful properties:

  • increases the risk of heart and vascular disease because it is rich in saturated fats and trans fats, and they increase the concentration of plasma cholesterol in the blood;
  • if consumed regularly, increases the risk of death from cardiovascular pathologies;
  • according to the World Health Organization, contributes to the formation of carcinogens and, consequently, malignant tumors;
  • increases the risk of type II diabetes, which is confirmed by scientific studies.

You can also replace meat with fatty fish (e.g. salmon or trout) – it should be baked in foil. Seafood kebab will also be a useful alternative, although such a picnic will cost more.

What is the best way to cook meat?

The safest ways to cook meat I believe:

  • baking in the oven;
  • boiling;
  • steaming;
  • stewing.
