In winter, Moscow turns into a fabulous place full of opportunities for active recreation, including for sports enthusiasts. If you want to go skiing in the capital, we have gathered six places where you can safely go and enjoy the atmosphere of this time of year and outdoor activities.
Sokolniki Park
The most “ski” place for those who are looking for an opportunity to ski away from the bustle of the city. Here you will find well-prepared tracks of varying difficulty – both with natural snow cover and artificial snow, beautiful landscapes, beautiful alleys that give a special romantic atmosphere to winter recreation and a lot of cozy cafes.
The total length of the ski track is 49.5 km. The park regularly assesses the condition of the trails. All routes are illuminated and fenced with a mesh fence. Visitors also have the opportunity to rent sports equipment.

Bitsa skiing complex
This place is located in the south-western part of Moscow and offers excellent tracks for any level of training. It includes 5 km of tracks for classic and skate skiing, also a sports equipment rental point, parking and many other services to create maximum comfort.
The ski route through the whole forest is 24 km. On the other side of the same forest area is “Alpha-Bitza”, a sports club that holds races and ski marathons. The next event will be held on February 11, marathoners will have to run three laps of 17 km.

“Bitza”
Lesopark “Kuskovo”
This is a historical park and estate, which are located in the east of the city. In winter, conditions for cross-country skiing are created here.
The availability of tracks depends on weather conditions. Usually skiers lay the track on their own. The circular route through the forest is 5.5 km and starts from the railway platform “Kuskovo”. There is another path with an entrance to the estate, the length is 9.8 km.

Tsaritsyno” Museum-Reserve
Spend the winter season enjoying nature and comfortable skiing conditions. The track is perfect for classic skiing, its length is 1500 meters, and the lap takes about 20 minutes at the most leisurely pace. Avid skiers can ski every day. “Tsaritsyno” accepts fans of active recreation every day from 9:00-00:00.

North Tushino Park
The park is located on the territory of the former airfield, which was transformed into an active recreation area. There are two routes with the length of 1 and 1.7 km organized on the territory. In the central part of the park between the pedestrian paths you will find a small 300-meter track, illuminated for evening skating.

Park “Losiny Ostrov”
Last season the track was laid for the first time. The park is located on an island in the river valley and is surrounded by picturesque forests. Here you will find specially equipped cross-country ski tracks of different difficulty and length, including artificial snow. There are four routes from 1 to 5 kilometers long.
