Checklist: what to take to the pool with you

It seems like so many things are necessary for a pool session. How do you not forget anything? It is worth writing a list of necessary things in advance.

Pool pass

If you have a season ticket, it is better not to take it out of your bag at all, so as not to worry in vain. If it’s your first visit, you need a medical certificate from the polyclinic or an appointment for a preliminary examination by a doctor directly at the swimming complex.

Swimsuit or swim trunks

Of course, this is the first thing you need to put in your bag when going to the pool. Nevertheless, with this item sometimes there are difficulties: what kind of swimsuit to take? Comfortable! Opt for a close-fitting, elastic and not constricting movement. Leave the beautiful separate one for the beach season!

Swim cap

Although many people think that it only spoils the appearance, chlorine will greatly deteriorate the condition of the hair, and will make swimming much more difficult. To make sure that your hair will definitely not come out from under the cap, it is recommended to first gather it in a ponytail or a bundle.

Goggles

Make sure that they do not put a lot of pressure on the eyes, but at the same time tight enough to the face and do not let the water pass. Otherwise, goggles will only become an excuse for constant distraction from the class.

Towel

It is better to take two: one to wipe yourself when leaving the pool, the other after showering. Wiping a clean body with a wet towel after chlorinated water is not only unpleasant, but also not quite hygienic.

Slippers

They should not be slippery, because in the pool, as a rule, wet floors. Do not take beach models with a bridge, which at any moment can fly off the foot. Give preference to simpler, but comfortable options.

Accessories for the shower

Washcloth, shampoo, gel – so that these items do not take up a lot of space, you can take smaller versions of products. Don’t neglect them: plain water won’t cleanse your skin and hair after a chlorinated pool.

Water

Not exactly an obvious item, even though you can’t do without it in the gym. What’s the difference between swimming lessons? They’re no less tiring and thirsty, although your body doesn’t lose as much fluid as it does during a workout.

SPF cream

If you work out in an open-air pool, it’s worth considering protection from the sun’s scorching rays. During the hot season, it’s not advisable to leave the house at all without applying sunscreen. And if you exercise under constant exposure to the sun, you may not even notice how burned.

Headgear

In hot weather, you can get sunstroke in just a few minutes. It’s better to protect yourself twice. A cap or hat with small brim is a great option.

Sauna cap

If you want to spend time in the sauna after your pool session, it’s worth bringing a couple other things with you. You’ll need to replace your pool cap with a felt, wool or felt hat. This will keep your hair from breaking and overheating.
