Dream day: what Lifestyle’s editorial team dreams about

On August 28, 1963, exactly 58 years ago, Martin Luther King gave his famous speech, which began with the words: “I have a dream”. As the years go by, as generations change and their orientations change, we never stop dreaming.

Take a look at what our editorial team is dreaming about.

Valeria Barinova

Lifestyle editor

My dream is that the circle of Lifestyle readers expands every day. Our audience is the people for whom we come to the editorial office every day, talk to experts, prepare interesting materials and sometimes we cut everything off at the root. Only because we are not sure that this very audience, i.e. you, will like it. And we do everything we can to make the texts really high-quality and useful.

On a more personal note, it would be nice to have a house by the sea, a convertible to drive on serpentine roads, and to open up borders. I love exploring different parts of our vast planet. I’ll keep platitudes like “happiness and health” to myself.

Arina Zabgayeva

Editor of Health and Nutrition.

My dream is to start dreaming again.
In the hustle and bustle of “adult” life, when days and weeks change each other so quickly that you do not have time to realize, there is no time left for big Dreams with a capital letter. And at some point you suddenly realize that you have forgotten how to dream. But you should!

Well, and if we talk about more down-to-earth, dreaming of a warm, warm winter in a house by the ocean, night swimming and artistic dawns.

Aliya Nurgaleeva

author

As strange as it may sound, I long to keep my dreams in mind. In the pursuit of a “normal” life with family, love, home and work, I often can’t even remember what I really want? What did I dream about as a child? Actually, I dreamed about something else, but as it turned out, I always wanted exactly that – family, love, home and work.

But my most important dream, which has only grown stronger over the years, is the health and happiness of my relatives.

Editor of Workout and Travel.

I wouldn’t say I have any cherished dream. Everything I’m living right now is more like goals that I’m trying to move towards.

I love and want to learn new things, develop new skills, recognize myself from different sides. I really want to travel the world, to see beautiful places. But I would call it more life goals. Nobody prevents me from learning to play tennis and going to Austria. A dream for me is a fairy tale, and perhaps even a pipe dream. I’ve always dreamed of having my own horse, a thoroughbred, raven color. And God forbid I rent one! Just my own. I guess if I ever get one, even if it’s by the time I retire, I’ll start to believe in magic.

Naida Saidova

Trends and Motivation Editor

When I was a little girl, I dreamed of completely simple and mundane things: an encyclopedia “What is it? Who is?”, a big plush Pikachu or a skateboard with transparent wheels. Fortunately, most of my dreams were fulfilled by my parents, thus becoming real wizards.

Now it’s harder to dream. Much harder. You know more, you know more, you can do more, but dreams turn into goals and you run to fulfill them. Now my dream is something incredible: for people not to get sick and not to fight.
