Russian figure skaters, gymnasts and other athletes have repeatedly won entire podiums at international competitions. Their professional achievements are a reason for pride. But sport is not the only thing these girls excel in – many of them have become role models for their sense of style. Together with “Championship” we look at how the images of famous Russian sportswomen have changed.

At first it seems that nothing much has changed in the famous tennis player’s clothes over the years. But this is only at first glance. In fact, Maria has gone from cute but simple images to fresh and stylish combinations.

Neutral T-shirts and straight pants are still in her closet. However, Sharapova now skillfully combines them with fashion accessories and brighter items of clothing.

Liaisan Utyasheva

Lyaisan has always preferred feminine images – dresses, heels, long hair falling in natural waves. However, over time, her style has undergone some changes.

Although even today the gymnast can often be seen in evening dresses and sophisticated suits, she is open to more daring and bold images and is not afraid to experiment.

Ksenia Kovalenko

Ksenia has always dressed quite flashy, and her images had a lot of bright details, whether it was a bright red jacket or massive platform sneakers with rhinestones.

Gradually her style became more restrained and calm. The girl increasingly prefers neutral or universal colors and chooses sport-casual.

Yulia Efimova

Previously, Yulia preferred a sporty and casual style. Jeans, tights, T-shirts with different prints and Olympics – it was not rare to see her in such clothes.

However, over time, the athlete’s images became more feminine and elegant. Her closet was replenished with bright dresses and soft over-size cardigans, pantsuits and classic raincoats.

Elizaveta Tuktamysheva

Four years ago the figure skater had a casual and somewhat adolescent way of dressing: jeans, sneakers, a jacket-jacket and the predominance of black color.

Today Elizaveta has diluted the images more refined and classic. She can often be seen in wide culottes and light silk dresses.

Evgenia is the youngest athlete in our selection. But even she has managed to change significantly over the past four years. Gradually she moved away from childishly cute images and turned into a beautiful young girl.
