What’s new in the sporting goods market? We analyze the releases of luxury and big brands

Often it is luxury brands and big fashion houses that become trendsetters in the sportswear and footwear market. In any case, these novelties can be inspired and try to find more budget-friendly analogs. Here’s what the big brand world has been living in the last month.

Karim Benzema became an ambassador of Fendi

The Cream star has become the official face of Italian house Fendi and their new sneaker silhouette – FENDI Faster. The company said that the player embodies the progressive spirit of the fashion house’s latest sneaker model.

The new design features a classic shape with innovative details, materials and lines combined with FENDI’s signature codes. This creates the perfect mix of heritage and modernity that is so important for luxury brands. The upper is made of high-tech mesh, fabric and nubuck, giving the sneakers a vintage look.

Louis Vuitton ping pong set

The brand has re-released a ping pong set for $2,280. It includes four balls, two wooden rackets and the brand’s signature Monogram Eclipse case. Unlike last year’s variation, this year’s comes in a classic brown.

In July, the company introduced a poker ($24k) and Jenga ($3k) set, a set of dumbbells ($2,640) and a jump rope ($810).

Pokémon are in trend

Japanese brand Comme des Garçons and Pokémon media franchise presented their first collaboration. It consists of T-shirts, sweatshirts, shirts, bombers and pants. The clothing is complemented by panamas, backpacks, shoulder bags and scarves. On all items there is an image of the cartoon character – Pikachu.

But not only the Japanese were inspired by the charming yellow hero – their version of “worship” Pikachu presented in BALMAIN. The collection consisted of T-shirts, shirts, sweatshirts, jeans, sports pants and accessories.

The key place in the campaign, as we think rightfully, is occupied by sneakers, which received a bright red and black coloring with inserts of red color.

Thom Browne Surf Tuxedo

Thom Browne created a surfing suit similar to a man’s tuxedo. Functionally it does not differ from the usual overalls, but the price of $ 4 thousand still makes it stand out from the rest.

The collection for surfers also includes multicolored boards at the same price, swimming trunks, shorts, T-shirts and beach accessories – sunglasses, flip-flops and a towel.

Supreme

Every year, the American streetwear brand’s collection features elements that can still surprise. In the latest campaign you can “buy” a motorcycle, snow shovels, sewing machine, coffee machine, dominoes or nail polish.

Of the most sporty, a red kettlebell and skateboarding boards.

Lacoste

The advertising campaign of the just released new collection featured Venus Williams herself, who was introduced by the brand as its global ambassador at the beginning of the year, and the performer of her role in the movie “King Richard” Sania Sidney.

The collection features cotton tracksuits, T-shirts, wool cardigans and nylon jackets.
