For example, the familiar “downward facing dog” pose develops upper body strength. Standing poses strengthen the hamstrings, quadriceps and abs. The cortical muscles, which form the correct posture, are also put to work.

Anastasia: Due to yogic exercises (asanas) and breathing practices (pranayama) a feeling of calmness and optimism comes. Exercise improves blood circulation throughout the body, strengthens the nervous system and enhances its ability to withstand stress.

Many people think that you need to come to yoga with good flexibility. Not at all – the practice will help you develop it. Whatever level you’re at, you’ll see progress.

Your overall health will improve

Regular yoga increases metabolism and lymphatic circulation and regulates hormonal balance. This has a beneficial effect on the whole body.

Strength will increase

This fact is usually surprised by men who first tried hatha yoga, one of its most popular and basic varieties. The development of strength comes from the use of one’s own body weight. Even spiritual practice works out all muscle groups well.

The risk of certain diseases will be reduced
