To begin with, let’s understand together: what is the most popular today drying? At first glance, it is an ordinary diet, which provides a large intake of protein, the use of complex carbohydrates in small doses and complete exclusion of fast carbohydrates from the diet. In a more severe form, this diet generally reduces carbohydrate intake to a critical minimum. There is also a drying method of alternation: carbohydrate days alternate with protein days. But the alternation method can be attributed to more moderate diets of another segment.

After that, it would be correct to dwell on contraindications to this method of weight loss. Of course, protein diet, especially if supported by intensive exercise in the gym, will give the effect quite quickly. But do not chase the result, it is important to realize that a healthy body is 90% healthy body. If your body is exhausted by stress and improper lifestyle, all this will sooner or later give its manifestations.

Contraindications to fast drying the body

Kidney diseases of various manifestations.

Liver diseases and some gallstone diseases.

Gastrointestinal problems, especially if they are chronic in nature.

Any oncological diseases and neoplasms.

People of age this diet is also contraindicated, as it increases the risk of thrombosis, which is life-threatening.

Also, I would not recommend applying the diet in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

In any case, if all these abnormalities are not relevant to you, you can try and gradually eliminate carbohydrates from your diet. Tip: listen to your body, if you feel weak and malaise, consult a doctor. Ideally, of course, although I realize that few people do this nowadays, contact a professional nutritionist who will be able to take into account all the subtleties of your body.

What do I have to give up?

During drying, you will have to give up all sorts of “goodies”. Boldly exclude all sweets: cakes, candies, pies, etc. A similar ban applies to sweet fruits, such as grapes, bananas, apricots, peaches, etc. Excluded from the diet of flour dishes, not to mention cookies and buns, will have to forget about pasta for a while. Butter, potatoes and porridge are also on the list of forbidden.

Drying rules

You should eat 6 times a day in small portions.

Completely refuse alcohol, remember that alcohol is a carbohydrate bomb for your body.

Do not eat less than 2-3 hours before bedtime.

All foods that you will add to your diet should be low in fat.

During the diet, you should follow the regimen and drink 2 liters of plain non-carbonated water per day.

A few tips

Make it a habit to eat breakfast. Supplement your diet with products containing fiber, it will help to remove toxins and metabolic products from the body.

Protein diets are very depleting, so don’t forget to include plenty of vegetables in your diet.

Take vitamins as prescribed by your doctor and amino acids during exercise and don’t forget the benefits of L-carnitine at least 3000 units/day.

Steam or grill your food.

Do not get carried away with protein diets.

Stick to it for no more than 7 days, then combine it with fats and slow carbohydrates.

In the last week, minimize your carbohydrate intake.

Reduce the total calories of food for the day to 1300-1500 kCal compared to what you are used to.

Avoid eating 2 hours before and 2 hours after your workout.

Remember that if you come out of drying incorrectly, you can gain exactly the same number of kilograms as you lost. Therefore, gradually add carbohydrates to your diet, start with complex carbohydrates. Watch how your body reacts. Reduce the intensity of training at the first stage of coming off the diet.
