Phytonians Uncut: 5 gals who made it

“Lucky phytonians, they’re all so cool and skinny, everything comes easy to them. I guess it’s genetics!” In fact, the life of these girls is not as simple and joyful as on the glossy pictures in the profile. After all, every day is filled with routine and hard work on themselves. And the old pictures in the photo album are just a reminder that there is no turning back.

Real stories of transformation are the strongest motivation to work on yourself and your body. In our selection we’ve gathered accounts of girls who know exactly what it’s like to be the fattest in class or an outcast at university. But they found enough strength in themselves to change their lives dramatically.

@brittelizabethfit

“I beat the odds: I went from being morbidly obese and unhappy with myself because of 44% body fat to feeling happy and confident at 17%. I’m not saying everyone will be happier with only 17% body fat. I’m not saying one body is more beautiful than another. But I wasn’t happy in my body before, I wasn’t confident, I wasn’t a good friend/family member. To change my future I needed to get healthy! Invest in yourself, every moment is worth it!”

You just have to believe that you can change yourself. Only by trusting yourself can you seriously work on yourself.

“The path was long, of course. But, most importantly, there was always motivation and a huge desire to change.”

@brittany_dawn_fitness

“It’s never going to be easy for me to post that picture on the left, to be honest. I thought the only way to be healthy and strong was to eat chicken, tilapia (fish) and colossal amounts of vegetables. Newsflash: I was more than wrong.”

“It feels good to feel healthy. Happiness is worth the struggle. I’ve been working hard. And I’ve had so many difficult phases in my life. But each awkward phase has molded me into the woman I am today. I used to be afraid of getting older. It’s funny how I feel more confident in my body now… than I did then.”

@weightlosshero

“To be honest, it’s not easy for me to post this photo. On the left, I was so scared to start. I was so afraid of failing again. Every time I started a diet and didn’t stick to it… I lost a part of myself. I was actually looking for happiness, thinking I was looking for weight loss. I wanted to feel good about myself. I was looking for a way out of my depression and anxiety that plagued me every day. Step by step, you can do it all.”

@simone_anderson

“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change what happens at the end. Every new day is another chance to change your life. Start small, start with breakfast or take a 20 minute walk. By starting with small changes, you won’t feel overwhelmed or disappointed if you can’t get something. It will become your norm and you will need less and less motivation. 2018 is your year!”
