Red skies: where to go for sunset in Moscow?

You can admire the sunset in Moscow from almost any high point or observation deck. And now the warmth is coming, and a sunset is an extra reason to go out for a walk in the evening. Don’t be lazy to watch the city sunsets in your favorite place or find something new.

We made a selection of places in the capital where you can watch the sunset and take beautiful photos.

Soaring Bridge

A bridge without a single support in Zaryadye Park. From here you can enjoy an incredible view of Zamoskvorechye and Red Square.

Restaurant “Carlson”

If you want to have a delicious dinner with a pleasant view of the sunset, come to the restaurant “Carlson”. It is located on the 14th floor of Central City Tower. An unforgettable city landscape will open before you: a view of the Kremlin and the Moskva River.

Luzhkov Bridge or “Kissing Bridge”

It is located between Kadyoshevskaya embankment and Bolotnaya Square. The bridge is so nicknamed not by chance: it is hung with locks of lovers or newlyweds, which cannot be opened anymore. For a romantic sunset, come here.

Left Bank Park

Located on the bank of the Khimki Reservoir along Pribrezhny Proyezd. It’s a stunningly landscaped park for strolling, with designated paths for cyclists, cafes, volleyball courts and a beach. You can settle down on wooden sun loungers and enjoy the view.

Patriarch’s Bridge

You will get a picturesque view of the Moskva River. The bridge leads directly to the monumental Cathedral of Christ the Savior. Many citizens like to walk there in the evening and enjoy the beautiful view of their hometown.

Rostokinsky Aqueduct

It is worth visiting this place to look at the ancient aqueduct, built in 1804. It is made in the form of a bridge that stretches across one of the waterways of the city – the Yauza River. The territory of the park is all green, and there are many benches. All amenities for watching a beautiful sunset!

Picturesque Bridge

It is known as the Red Bridge. It is a highlight of Moscow, the highest bridge in Europe. It has been open since December 24, 2007. You can take a walk on the bridge when the sun starts to set or check out the Skazka Park, which is nearby. Take a ride on the Ferris wheel in the evening, as it offers great views.
