What happens if you go to the fitness room every day

The consequences may not be what you imagine.

A quick result is what everyone wants. True, only in fairy tales everything happens at the snap of fingers. To achieve results, some exhaust themselves with workouts and go to the gym every day. But this will not lead you to the desired – such a rhythm can harm the body.

Everywhere you need a balance, you need to get used to any kind of load gradually. Because of overtraining, the body does not have time to recover, which leads to injuries, stress and deterioration of the nervous system.

Is it possible to train every day

It is important to keep the balance of training and recovery. You can train every day if you have a properly planned load and intensity in the weekly cycle. But if you’re training every day or every other day and you’re working at 100 percent, you’re overtraining.

If a workout is hard today, the next two days should be a recovery process. There can be light physical activity, but in a gentle way. For example, instead of another strength training session, do a couple of stretching exercises or go for a light jog.

Five exercises that will help you relax your muscles are described in the article below.

The dangers of overtraining

When several hard workouts follow each other, there is no supercompensation, the body and nervous system are stressed. If the muscle does not recover and gets stressed, an inflammatory process begins. Constant activity of muscles leads to hypertonus, they get clogged, trigger points can appear, certain seals inside the muscles, which then need to be worked with separately, restoring them.

The muscles can be restored by such means as: massage, dynamic stretching, myofascial release, percussion therapy.

The key is to listen to your body and keep a balance. Increased exertion does not always mean faster results. Rest is very important.

And how to properly prepare for training, told in our material.
