What can you eat if you have gastritis?

Gastritis is an inflammatory disease that affects the mucous membrane of the stomach. It provokes failures in its work, accompanied by digestive disorders, severe aching pain. Lack of treatment leads to the fact that the mucosa is gradually thinning, ulcers appear. In total, there are more than 10 varieties of this disease.

General principles of nutrition in gastritis, regardless of the type of disease involves mandatory compliance with the regime: portions should be small, up to 4-5 meals a day. It is important to avoid snacks, they provoke excessive secretion of gastric juice, and also reduce its amount during the main meals.

Porridge on water

The ideal option is oatmeal in the form of flakes, it is relatively easy to digest. Permitted are also buckwheat, rice and barley, pumpkin and pea porridge. The most gentle porridge is considered semolina, as the amount of dietary fiber in it is minimal. It envelops the gastric mucosa, protecting it from inflammation, relieving pain.

Chicken in this case – an indispensable source of animal protein, a building component for all tissues in the body. Porous fibers of chicken meat absorb excess hydrochloric acid. If the work of enzymes in the stomach is disturbed, chicken should be replaced by chicken broth.

The ideal option for gastritis in remission is baked apples, which retain the useful properties of fresh fruit. Preliminary with them you need to remove the peel – the fiber in it is not destroyed even after heat treatment.

Fish

This is an indispensable component of dietary nutrition. It is rich in protein, unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. The list of allowed in gastritis includes cutlets and dishes from fish (pollock, hake, flounder, cod, pike-perch, saffron cod, sea bass, sea bass). Fish is cooked without skin, preferably steamed.

In gastritis in remission can also be included in the diet:

  • steamed eggs (no more than one piece a day);
  • compotes, sours;
  • fruit puree;
  • loose tea with milk or cream;
  • low-fat cottage cheese, low-fat milk.
