Why wish cards don’t work and how to fix it: tips from a neurocoach

Kira Feklisova

neurocoach

Revising before the New Year old collages of wishes, which I diligently pasted every December, I thought: why did only 15% of the “pasted” come true? To figure it out, I decided to analyze my art.

Looking at each visual image, I asked myself three questions:

  1. How do I feel about the wish not coming true/ coming true?
  2. Why do I want this thing/property/event?
  3. Who will rejoice with me? Is this wish mine or someone else’s?

I suggest you do the same: ask yourself the three questions and check the map for realism and the wishes for fulfillment. The conclusions I drew form the basis of this article. They will help you better understand the process. What prevented me from doing this?

Emotions

These are the ones that get in the way of wish fulfillment. When an emotion is too strong, you’re on fire and you want something to happen, it doesn’t get fulfilled. Or it happens with a huge delay. It could happen in one or three months, but it is realized only in a couple of years.

A phrase from Russian folk tales – “Go to bed, the morning is wiser than the evening” – is exactly about this. As soon as we let go of an emotion and stop thinking about it, the wish is realized. As long as we are burning and emotionalizing, nothing works out.

But the opposite is also true. If we write wishes and stick inspirational pictures without emotion, there will be no charge for their realization. The ideal formula is to wish and let go. Then the path of realization will be as fast as possible. Imagine a person who presses, stomps his foot and demands something. And a person who is joyful, light, flexible. Whose wish would you want to fulfill immediately?

Your desire must be to do good

Your wish would have to be for a good cause

Benefit and harm

Why do you want this thing? Who else will be happy that you have it? If only you will be happy, then the wish will be fulfilled with a delay. If it benefits others – your neighborhood or family – then the chances and speed of fulfillment are greatly increased. You might inspire someone with your travel, marriage, car. People will believe it’s real.

In this point, you can be a little tricky and promise yourself, “If I get this, I will make a donation, help someone, give something as a gift.” Then even if there are no people who will feel good about your wish, you will create them yourself and speed up the process of fulfillment.

Your desire must not harm

Your wish should not harm

It’s also important to test the wish for eco-friendliness. Ask the question: will not harm someone what I will get? For example, a woman wishes to marry a man who is happily married. To fulfill her wish would require the destruction of the family. The wife and children will suffer.

Or, for example, you dream of getting a promotion. The position you’re applying for is occupied by another man. In order for you to get it, you have to fire him. You can trick the system and wish for the company to expand, new branches and positions. Then there will be enough room for everyone. What is good for society and the world is fulfilled as quickly as possible. The world does not like selfish people.

Mine is not mine

When we stick pictures of other people’s wishes, most often they do not come true. We may sincerely believe that these are our dreams. In fact, we’ve seen them, overheard them, copied them from someone else. The brain thought, “That’s cool. I want to do that too.” We decided it was our wish.

Are you sure you want this car?

Are you sure you want this car?

Something can be imposed by parents. Most often here are dreams from the gentleman’s/dame’s set: an apartment, a car, a dacha, a husband/wife, children. Some requests we could look up from fashion bloggers: branded things, expensive trips, restaurants, jewelry, cosmetic procedures.

In fact, our soul needs something completely different. By the way, 80% of objects from the map of desires belongs to this very category – other people’s requests. That’s why 80% of labeled pictures remain pictures. If we check them for truth, it turns out that we are fine without it.

Moreover, the possession of some expensive object may not improve life, but add problems. An exclusive car requires expensive maintenance. It can also be stolen. A fancy mansion is heavily taxed and needs a special staff to take care of it.

Desire is not just a pretty picture

A wish is not just a pretty picture

A dress of a famous brand needs to be taken to a special dry cleaner, which is not available in your city. You may overlook this, but the subconscious mind is aware of all the nuances. Unconsciously, you will do everything you can to keep your wish from coming true.

At the Ferrari Museum in Italy, there is a sign that says, “Ferrari, live the dream!” Many Italians hang pictures of this car on their wall as a dream wishboard, but 90% of them are not ready to own one. They know how difficult it is to maintain this car. They go to the Ferrari museum and rent the car for an hour. For a while, the dream becomes a little more tangible, but it remains a dream. Their wish cards remain hanging on the wall for the rest of their lives.

If you’re feeling sad and it seems like your dreams are not going to come true, look for a dose of positivity here.
