Years Wasted. Why a bodybuilder could never get pumped up

The structure and peculiarities of our body is a purely individual matter. Each person needs a special approach when it comes to improving the body, for example, losing weight or gaining muscle mass. Otherwise, you can wait for years for progress and never see it.

Such a case happened to Peter, the creator of the YouTube channel “Home Natural Bodybuilding”. The man has been trying to pump up for five years, but for a long time has not shown visible results. About why Peter wasted his time and how to correct the situation, told fitness and bodybuilding coach Yuri Spasokukukotsky in his video blog.

Why didn’t the bodybuilder gain muscle mass?

In 2015, Peter decided to take care of himself and gain muscle mass. He began to work out at home and gave preference to exhausting strength training. It would seem that the man went the right way, but by 2020 his weight never exceeded the mark of 63 kilograms. In Yuri’s opinion, for such a time it was possible to gain at least 75, or even 80 kilograms. What’s the matter?

Yuri: First of all, at first I myself did not progress in the same way as Peter, even more. For seven years I didn’t see any muscle mass growth, eating and training the same way he did – incorrectly. Secondly, I feel sorry for the man who was cheated. Of course, Peter was deceived by promises, misinformation he received from his idol and mentor Alexey Shredder. He believes that it is possible and necessary to gain mass on a calorie deficit.

If you look closely at Peter’s figure, you will notice that he is a pronounced ectomorph. With this type of physique on a caloric deficit, it is simply impossible to pump up, since the body needs additional energy and nutrients.

Even as an ectomorph prone to thinness, it is possible to get pumped up. It is just necessary to take into account the peculiarities of the body and restructure the diet and training plan for them. According to Yuri, it is necessary to create a surplus of calories and follow a diet that will consist of carbohydrates at least 50%. The caloric content of the daily menu should be increased gradually. Probably, this approach will add fat along with muscle mass, but you can get rid of it with the help of final drying.

Yuri: In general, gaining muscle mass together with fat is a classic of bodybuilding. Thousands and millions of people gain mass with fat because they were ectomorphs.
