Let’s stipulate right away, this material is not a collection of important reasons to get a tattoo, with which you can come to your parents.

Tattooing is an activity that traumatizes the skin, the largest organ in the human body. It consists of three layers: epidermis, dermis and hypodermis. In order for the drawing to be durable, tattoo masters damage the epidermis with a needle, and the ink itself is injected into the dermis. Then when the surface layer of the skin is renewed, the drawing will not disappear, but there will be no scars and indistinctness, as if the pigment was introduced more deeply. The process of drawing the master should take place in the appropriate for this room with disposable sterile tools.

Generally, tattoos are pure decor and a matter of everyone’s taste, but there are cases when a drawing on the skin appears for another important reason other than the desire to acquire it.

Medical tattoos can save a person’s life

Tokens, bracelets, patches – all these identifying signs can be forgotten, lost or torn from a person, and with them are lost and vital information about the state of health of the patient. In this case, in agreement with the doctor, people resort to applying medical tattoos. Information about the presence of diabetes, anaphylactic reaction to allergens, other chronic diseases can save a person’s life.

By tattoo passersby can realize that a person needs to call an ambulance, and the doctor, seeing the drawing, will immediately check, for example, the sugar level to provide effective help in an emergency situation. On the body tattoo does not affect the body, but on the speed of assistance – can, and significantly.

Let’s talk about the disadvantages. Curiously, tattooing for people with severe allergies may not be possible because of the body’s reaction to the pigment itself.

If we are talking about diabetes, due to the peculiarities of metabolism, diabetic patients have problems with the nutrition of tissues, in particular, the skin. Most of all it suffers on the extremities, especially the lower, less often – the upper. Therefore, tattoos are associated with the risk of serious skin infection, prolonged healing and complications. In situations where immunity is severely reduced, there is an increased risk of trophic ulcers in the tattoo site, microbial infection and suppuration of the place of drawing.

Before applying a tattoo, be sure to consult with your physician about your possible individual contraindications. Some patients may have problems with blood clotting or a reaction to the pigment. It is important to check your health and skin conditions to assess whether the pattern can heal safely.

Medications may not always help those with allergies. What to do if allergy pills don’t help is covered in this article.

Tattoos can help in the diagnosis of diseases

Researchers at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in Daejeon, South Korea, have reportedly developed electronic tattoo ink that can automatically alert people to potential health problems.

Reuters reports that the ink is made of liquid metal and carbon nanotubes that act as bioelectrodes. According to the researchers, a tattoo drawn with this ink can help monitor heart rate because it creates an electrical circuit on the skin.

The tattoo could be connected to an electrocardiogram device or other biosensors to monitor a patient’s heart rate as well as other vital signs such as glucose levels.

This would provide individuals and doctors with a personalized way to monitor people’s health.

Tattoos can help recreate appearances

For years, tattoo artists have successfully helped clients cover scars and scars, age spots, and mask hair loss issues. Ink is selected for the necessary area in color (for example, the color of the skin or hair), and the different size of needles allows you to make any line from a very thin, similar to human hair, to total fill color.

Among the masters of permanent makeup in social networks has gained popularity trend to restore the pattern of eyebrows and eyelash line in young people and girls who lost their hair for one reason or another. This type of tattooing is especially common among cancer patients, patients with alopecia (hair loss due to damage to hair follicles) and victims of emergencies, such as fires or accidents. Such drawings look very natural and help to make one’s own appearance more comfortable for a person. Some masters provide free aesthetic permanent makeup procedures, which can greatly enhance self-esteem during the difficult period of accepting changes in appearance.
