Adulthood is associated with the formation of a full-fledged personality. Let’s analyze five life events that influence a person’s maturation: first love; separation; moving away from parents (to a separate apartment, another city); moving to another space (for example, entering a university); first job.

First love

The first emotionally vivid feeling in everyone’s life. It can last several months or years, and the strength of its influence on a person does not depend on the duration of this feeling.

First love helps to hear better not only yourself, but also the other person. And also to realize that there are experiences in the world, which in a relationship can be shared and supported. It develops a sense of tact, the ability to focus not only on yourself, but also on the other person.

First love is a life experience of close relationships, trust and security, making independent decisions with the opposite sex.

By having this experience, a person learns to build personal boundaries and not to violate the boundaries of others. The experience of first love is an important stage in a person’s life that gives him/her inner strength, individual beauty and wisdom.

Separation

This is an important part of growing up in which there is separation from parents and transfer of responsibility. With separation, a person takes responsibility for himself, his life and future. At the same time, he builds an equal relationship with his parents: adult – adult.

Completed separation allows one to independently and independently determine one’s own path, to make plans and decisions, to react flexibly to changes. For some it can be a kind of springboard to start a real adult life. What life lessons you need to pass before that, we told you in the previous material.

Independence and autonomy in decision-making contributes to gaining self-confidence and psychological well-being. In the process of separation, a person learns to build personal boundaries, which helps to build healthy relationships with relatives, friends and colleagues.

Moving to another city or even a separate apartment

Moving usually opens up new opportunities for a person. Appearance in the environment of new people, a different way of life, acceptance of household worries and their solution allow to “break” and arrange the previous stereotypes, accept responsibility. It helps to reveal personal potential, to turn to resources. Through a new independent life and new experience the personality develops and grows.

Choosing a job

The first job is associated with the acquisition of professional experience, which entails a more conscious attitude to life, the emergence of self-confidence, revision of life values and abandonment of previous infantile dreams. It is possible that the first job will be a catalyst for personal changes in life – moving, finding a partner, the emergence of a serious hobby.

In this matter is still important the degree of load and unloading of the body. The brain needs rest, like any system. Otherwise, it leads to fatigue and loss of efficiency. Read more about the norms of working hours at the link below.

Through work there is an opportunity to gain valuable experience of older, and therefore more experienced colleagues. Working in a team teaches you to defend your point of view before your superiors, to obey, to work in a team and to take responsibility for everything that has been done and not done. The accumulation of life experience allows a person to become more mature.
