Snacks from yams and apples

1. Fried yams with apples

Ingredients

  • yam – 2 pcs;
  • apple – 2 pcs;
  • olive oil – 2 tbsp;
  • pepper – to taste;
  • salt – to taste.

Preparation

  1. First, wash the yams.
  2. Cut it into thin circles (like potatoes).
  3. Send the root vegetable to a heated frying pan with a little olive oil.
  4. Fry the yams until golden.
  5. Cut the apples into thin slices. Important: fry them in the same pan where the yams were cooked until soft.
  6. Sprinkle with pepper and salt to taste.

2. Salad with yams and apples

Ingredients

  • yam – 2 pcs;
  • apple – 2 pcs;
  • olive oil – 2 tbsp;
  • lemon juice – 1 tbsp;
  • salt – to taste;
  • fresh herbs – to taste.

Preparation

  1. First, wash and clean the yams.
  2. The second step is to cut the root vegetable into cubes of medium size.
  3. Boil it in salted water until soft.
  4. Cut apples into thin slices.
  5. Combine cooled yams and chopped apples.
  6. Season with lemon juice and olive oil.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs.

3. Yams and apples porridge

Ingredients

  • yam – 1 piece;
  • apple – 2 pcs;
  • milk (optional) – 100 g;
  • cinnamon – to taste;
  • honey – to taste;
  • nuts – 10 g.

Preparation

  1. First wash and clean the yams.
  2. Cut the root vegetable and apples into medium-sized pieces.
  3. Cook on low heat with apples until soft.
  4. Add more water (or milk) to make a porridge.
  5. Season with a pinch of cinnamon and honey to taste.
  6. Garnish the dish with nuts.

4- Crispy yam and apple potato chips

Ingredients

  • yam – 1 pcs;
  • apple – 1 pc;
  • sea salt – to taste;
  • vinegar – to taste.

Preparation

  1. First wash the yams.
  2. Cut the root vegetable and apples into thin slices with a sharp knife.
  3. Place on a baking tray and bake in the oven until golden crust.
  4. Before serving, sprinkle with sea salt and vinegar.

Hummus and carrot snacks

5. Carrot and hummus rolls

Ingredients

  • carrots (large) – 1 pc;
  • hummus – 50 g;
  • fresh herbs – to taste.

Preparation

  1. You need to prepare carrots: wash and peel.
  2. Then cut the root vegetable into thin plates. It is better to use a vegetable peeler for this.
  3. Thinly spread hummus on each strip of carrots.
  4. Roll into rolls and secure them with a toothpick.
  5. You can decorate with fresh herbs.

6. Carrot and hummus salad

Ingredients

  • carrots (large) – 1 pc;
  • hummus – 100 g;
  • lemon juice – 1 tbsp;
  • olive oil – 2 tbsp;
  • fresh herbs – to taste.

Preparation

  1. Wash and peel carrots.
  2. Take a large grater and rub the root vegetable.
  3. Mix the grated carrots with hummus.
  4. For dressing we need lemon juice and olive oil.
  5. Add fresh herbs to taste.

7. Carrot and hummus balls

Ingredients

  • carrots (large) – 1 pc;
  • hummus – 100 g;
  • fresh herbs – to taste.

Preparation

  1. Wash and peel the carrots.
  2. On a fine grater rub the root vegetable.
  3. Mix in a blender carrots and hummus to a homogeneous mass.
  4. From the resulting mass it is necessary to form balls.
  5. Finely chop the greens and roll the balls in it.

8. Carrot and hummus cocktail

Ingredients

  • carrots (large) – 1 pc;
  • hummus – 100 g;
  • honey – to taste;
  • ginger – to taste.

Preparation

  1. Wash and peel carrots.
  2. Cut the root vegetable into pieces and send it to the blender.
  3. Blend in the blender carrots with hummus and ice to a homogeneous consistency.
  4. Add honey and ginger to taste.
