Healthy living during the holidays: PP ideas for the Christmas table

During the holidays, few people think about proper nutrition. But what to do if you want to keep your body in tone even on New Year’s Eve or Christmas Day? Cook healthy dishes, of course! We have gathered for you a selection of delicious and proper ideas for the holiday table.

Salmon in foil

Calories: 140 kcal/100 g

You will need:

  • salmon steak or fillet (150-170 g per serving);
  • coarse salt (you can also use ekstra, but it will taste better with coarse salt);
  • pepper;
  • olive oil;
  • lemon juice.

Grease the foil with oil, salt and pepper the fish a little and wrap in foil. Put in the oven for 20 minutes at 200 degrees. Before serving, you can splash the salmon with lemon juice – it will give the flavor interesting notes. Done!

Salmon contains a lot of vitamins, phosphorus, calcium, helps prevent cardiovascular diseases and improves immunity.

Salad with arugula, avocado and feta cheese

Calories: 190 kcal/100 g

You will need:

  • arugula – 200 g;
  • cherry tomatoes – 200 g;
  • feta – 250-300 g;
  • avocado – 2 pcs;
  • seedless olives – 200 g;
  • salt, pepper to taste;
  • olive oil;
  • lemon juice if desired.

Cut cherry tomatoes in half, peel avocado and cut into cubes, cut feta cheese into cubes. Arrange arugula as the first layer, tomatoes as the second layer, then cheese, avocado and olives. Salt and pepper the salad to taste, dress with olive oil and lemon juice.

Arugula is rich in vitamins and minerals, avocado improves digestion, feta cheese is good for the endocrine and immune system.

Eggs stuffed with avocado

Calorie: 150 kcal/g

You will need:

  • 5 eggs;
  • avocado;
  • a tablespoon of olive oil;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • lemon juice, salt and pepper.

Boil and peel the eggs. Cut the eggs in half and separate the yolks from the whites. Put the yolks together with the avocado, grated garlic, spices and olive oil into a blender. Blend thoroughly until puréed. Gently spread into the eggs.

Avocado stuffed eggs are a great and tasty alternative to snacks like sandwiches or eggs with mayonnaise.

Chicken rolls with mushrooms

Calories: 168 kcal/100 g

You will need:

  • chicken fillet – 450 g;
  • mushrooms – 150 g;
  • onions – 100 g;
  • sour cream 10-15% – 2 tablespoons;
  • garlic – 2-3 cloves;
  • parsley and dill;
  • salt, pepper to taste.

Baste the chicken fillet to a thickness of 0.5 cm. Salt and pepper the surface of the meat. Finely chop the onion, keep it on medium heat in a frying pan for 2-4 minutes. Place the mushrooms cut into thin slices on top of the onions. Saute over medium heat until all the liquid has evaporated and the mushrooms are browned.

Salt and pepper to taste. Smear a layer of fillets with sour cream, squeezed garlic spread over the surface of the meat. Evenly lay the mushrooms and onions on the fillet. Sprinkle finely chopped herbs on top. Roll the fillet into a roll and wrap it in 2 layers of foil. Send to the oven for 30 minutes at 180 degrees. Then cut the large roll into small rolls. Done!

Orange jelly

Calorie: 88 kcal/100 g

You will need:

  • 2 oranges;
  • tsp. agar (gelatin does not combine well with citrus);
  • 400 ml of water;
  • citrus tea bag;
  • sweetener to taste.

Brew the tea and let it steep to allow the flavor to infuse. Add a teaspoon of agar-agar to half of the drink, bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat and stir the mixture for three minutes.

Cut the oranges in half and scoop out the pulp without damaging the integrity of the peel. Mix the remaining tea with the cooked agar agar, add the sweetener and mix thoroughly. Pour the mixture into the orange halves, let cool, and then send it to the refrigerator to solidify.

Such a low-calorie dessert will be a wonderful decoration of the holiday table.
