judo player’s dad

“I decided to give my child to judo because I once practiced it myself. This is a unique sport: dedicating yourself to it, you will own your body like a gymnast, you will be strong like a weightlifter, and you will be able to easily protect yourself and your loved ones from a bully on the street. In addition, wrestling develops speed, endurance, strengthens your mental state. When the time came to give my son to a sports section, I had no doubts – only judo”.

About how much it costs to give your son to karate, told at the link.

Clothing

Judo is a very cheap sport. For classes you will need only a uniform – judo gi. For the simplest model you need to pay 1200 rubles. But there are more expensive options, for a branded set you can give about 60 thousand. Given that the form for classes is made of very dense materials, it practically does not tear. But children grow very quickly, so you have to change once or twice a year.

Each judoka of the senior age category should have two sets: one white and one blue. Starting from this level to participate in competitions wrestlers are required to wear uniforms of different colors, so that they can be easily distinguished. This makes it easier to judge and watch the wrestling. At this point the cost to parents is doubled.

Classes

The most costly thing on a regular basis is paying for a monthly subscription. If you are lucky, there may be a free children’s and youth sports school near your home, in which case you only need to buy a uniform. If there is no such school, then a monthly subscription will cost from 3 to 7 thousand rubles.

Competitions and summer camp

When the child grows up to the level of official tournaments, a sports school is usually connected. The biggest expenses in the first years of classes come to pay for camps. Mostly go for two weeks, and the average cost of the trip is 2 thousand rubles per day. Two-week camps cost 28 thousand, not counting the road.

Giving your child to the section, you should not forget about moral support. If there is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the sport or even practice together – take advantage of it. So the little athlete will be motivated to new victories.
