Ära joo piima - sinust saab meister! Jermaine Defoe ja Williamsi õdede retsept.
England striker Jermain Defoe, boxer David Haye and the Williams sisters talked about their passion for vegetarianism.
Jermain Defoe is absolutely certain that he has gained far more than he has lost by eliminating meat, eggs and dairy products from his diet. “I don’t find it difficult to give up some products, because I know what I’m doing it for,” the England striker admitted in an interview.
And he is far from the only one who favors plant-based foods. Many other athletes are discovering the same benefits of a vegetarian diet – and, like Defoe, are seeing their productivity increase dramatically and the time their body spends recovering from exertion shrink dramatically. Many even say that fueling their bodies with super-nutritious plant-based foods is the key to their career success.
Also following a vegetarian diet is British professional boxer David “Hayemaker” Haye, recognized as one of the best boxers of his generation. Despite becoming a strict vegetarian for ethical reasons, Haye admitted last year that this diet has made him stronger than ever.
Even big tennis superstars the Williams sisters follow a plant-based diet. In an interview, Venus Williams revealed that it was a balanced diet that allowed her to return to the court after doctors diagnosed her with an autoimmune disorder.
“It definitely changed my whole life,” the tennis player admitted in an interview with Health magazine.
