How do you cheat the feeling of hunger?

Studies prove that it is possible to negotiate with the stomach.

Almost all of us at least once in our lives have faced an unbearable feeling of hunger, when it is impossible to eat right now. At least this happens after going to the dentist or before visiting the office for a blood draw. And sometimes hunger strike is a forced measure to lose weight. And although we do not welcome such brutal ways of losing weight, we tell you how to dull the feeling of aching stomach and relax for a few more hours.

1. Drink water

Often the body confuses hunger with thirst. If drinking pure water is no longer possible, add lemon, mint, lime to it. In addition, you can drink tea. Calories in it are few, and the stomach will definitely calm down.

For the experiment, scientists selected 50 overweight women and asked them to drink 500 ml (two glasses) of water three times a day. They ate as usual.

After eight weeks, the girls noticed that their appetite had decreased. They began to consume fewer calories and lost extra pounds. The average weight loss during this period was about 1.5 kilograms.

2. Engage in sports

First, it is scientifically proven that after physical activity, appetite decreases. And secondly, even a little exercise will distract you from thoughts of a cherished piece of cake. However, it is important not to overdo the load, otherwise it can entail exactly the opposite effect.

3. Get a good night’s sleep

We have already told you many times that sleep is directly related to our appetite. Quality and healthy rest allows not only not to overeat, but also to improve metabolism, reduce appetite and start all the necessary processes in the body for recovery. So don’t neglect the opportunity to get a good night’s sleep as soon as you have a couple of free hours in your schedule.

4. Take a bath

Often we feel hungry just because of a lot of problems that need to be “eaten”. A hot bath will relax, calm the nerves and therefore reduce the “stressful” appetite. Also, according to research, such procedures will help you burn about 140 calories per hour, which is more, for example, than if you all this time will walk briskly.

5. Chew gum

University of Rhode Island professor Kathleen Melanson conducted a study in which she found that chewing gum can help reduce calorie intake and increase energy expenditure. That is, of course, if it’s sugar-free. True, there are other studies that suggest that chewing gum has no effect on appetite. But it’s worth a try!
