How did I eat junk food and not get fat? Personal experience

One of the most common myths about weight loss sounds like this: to get rid of excess weight, you need to sit on a strict diet and give up all the usual joys in food. In reality, the principle by which our body gets rid of kilograms is completely different. And the main emphasis in it is on the caloric content of the daily diet. Fitness trainer and nutritionist Vladimir Lepesa conducted his own experiment with fatty food and proved that the calorie counting rule works.

What was my calorie experiment?

The experiment consisted of the following: for 10 days I changed my diet, keeping its caloric content the same. By doing this, I wanted to show that weight gain and weight loss depends on the balance of calories, not on the specific foods we eat.

During all days of the experience, my diet consisted of 80 percent fatty dairy products, flour, sweets and carbonated drinks. And only 20 percent of vegetables, eggs and vegetable protein. At the same time, the caloric content of food remained the same as before the experiment – 3200 calories per day.

As a result, my weight changed slightly – from 91.1 to 91.3 kilograms. The gain of extra 200 grams was explained by a slight puffiness, which occurred due to the increase in carbohydrates. It is they that retain moisture in the body.

The balance of BJU and calories is the result of an individualized diet. It is made for each person depending on his goals, preferences and medical contraindications. Comfort is also taken into account to avoid breakdowns.
