Play with me. Where do Barbie dolls get their muscles?

Christmas Abbott and Julia Wiens.

Girls in shape and with shapes. If you don’t believe powerlifting can be cute.

Can a girl have the face of a Barbie doll and the body of a steely bogatyr at the same time? Yes! And don’t try not to smile back at her!

Powerlifting is not always huge men in sweaty T-shirts. Recently, more and more often girls work with iron. And very pretty girls, whose smile can knock you dead. Let’s remember the examples of powerlifter girls with angelic faces and bogatyr muscles.

Always delicious coffee

Julia Vince, also known as “Barbie with the body of the Hulk”, started bodybuilding at the age of 15. After a year of training, she decided that the program did not suit her and switched to powerlifting. Julia began to perform at various competitions, gradually reached the world championships and earned the title of Master of Sports International Class. The weights she works with have long exceeded 100 kg, her record in bench press – 130 kg, in deadlift – 190 kg, and in squats with a barbell – 235 kg.

Recently it became known that Julia opened her own coffee shop in Saratov, where she occasionally performs the role of barista. I wonder how many visitors will risk saying that they are dissatisfied with the service if something goes wrong? Despite the fact that now Julia is busy with entrepreneurial activity, she continues to find time for sports.

The first girl in a tire shop

As a child, Christmas Abbott practiced baseball, but girls were taken to teams with great reluctance, so she regularly experienced problems. Career baseball player interrupted by an accident, in which she was in 13 years: the car in which the sisters were traveling Abbott, several times overturned. Christmas was injured in the back, but got off lightly – her sister fell into a coma. After that, the girl began depression, to cope with which it was possible thanks to therapy, also played a role in the recovery of her sister. For some time the girl worked as a laborer at a construction site, then went to Iraq, where her mother helped her to get a job at a military center. It was there that she started doing Crossfit, despite working in a laundry room every day. Upon returning to the U.S., she opened her own gym where she continued to work out. After a few years of training, she was lifting 125 pounds.

She was soon spotted by NASCAR (National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing, which runs endurance races) and was offered a contract with a repair crew. The mechanics are responsible for replacing wheels, each weighing over 20 pounds, and the mechanics have 13-14 seconds to do it all.

But that’s not a problem for Chrismas.

From wrestler to broker

At the age of 14, Sarah Beckman became interested in an atypical sport for girls – arm wrestling. First, while still at school, she won two local tournaments, then became an 11-time Swedish champion, eight-time European champion and eight-time world champion.

In 2013, she moved into wrestling, signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment and began competing on the Swedish version of American Gladiators. But her appearances did not last long, already at the end of April 2014 she terminated her contract. In the summer of the same year, she married an American wrestler and moved to live in the United States, where she started working as a real estate agent.
