Calendar of Events: 7 sporting events this summer

Every year the warm season spoils us with colorful sporting events. May and the summer months are rich in festivals and extreme races. Our task is to tell you about the most important and interesting ones, and it’s up to you to cheer for the favorites or take part.

Colorful race

The most colorful fan-ran in Moscow, where you can run 5 km in a funny costume, smeared in paint. Or you can watch from the side and join the participants at the finish line – there will traditionally “explode” colorful fireworks.

XVII World Class Games named after. Dmitry Zhirnov

The XIX World Class Summer Games named after Dmitry Zhirnov will traditionally open the summer fitness season and set a vigorous rhythm to the long-awaited season. The official opening ceremony of the Games will be held on June 9 on Poklonnaya Gora. The competitions will be kicked off by an open race, in which anyone can take part, not only members of the network clubs.

On the same day there will be competitions in powerlifting, boxing, boxing, and beautiful and perfectly built guys and girls will gather at the Men’s Physique & Fitness Bikini contest to find out whose relief and proportions will be honored with the highest award.

The cost of participation is 500 rubles. The collected funds will be transferred to the Charity Fund “Life in Motion “*.

Reebok Festival

A large-scale festival with a huge number of sports activities, new types of training, entertainment and music. Les mills, cycle, training, dance, mind&body, public talk and other zones will be open for you during two days. In addition, the festival will traditionally start a team race “Become Human”.

IRONSTAR

This is a triathlon competition on the “half-iron” distance of 113 km and the “sprint” distance. All slots are already sold out, but you can still combine a trip to the sea with a sporting event and support the participants on the distance.

Digital Run “Running Hearts”

This year Nike together with the Naked Heart Foundation will hold the “Running Hearts Green Marathon” charity run for the third time. This year they have doubled the value of each kilometer covered by the participants of the race to 100 rubles.

What is the point? All the funds received will be transferred by the company to the Naked Heart Foundation, which will allocate them to the early help project for young children with developmental disabilities and their families. To participate, you need to download the Nike Run Club app, register via the link and go for a run on the first day of summer.

White Nights Open 2019 Squash Tournament

This year the men’s competition will be organized for the first time under the PSA (Professional Squash Association – Editor’s note) with a prize fund of $5000, 16 strongest players in the world will come to compete. Women’s professional squash will be presented in the PSA-A Women category.
And of course, amateur, men’s and women’s categories, in which players with different levels of play will take part.
