How is granola different from granola?

Cereals give a feeling of satiety for a long time, but you should be careful with them.

What’s the difference between granola and granola? Which is better to eat for breakfast?

Granola and granola at first glance seem to be identical products. Their basis is whole-grain cereals, to which can be added nuts, dried fruits, berries, candied fruits, etc. Both products are considered a healthy breakfast, because cereals are complex slow carbohydrates. They keep the feeling of satiety for a long time, do not cause sharp fluctuations in blood sugar and are considered a source of dietary fiber. Such breakfast contains fiber, which helps to improve digestion and reduce cholesterol. In addition, both granola and muesli contain many vitamins and minerals (E, B, potassium, magnesium, etc.).

Muesli is also usually sparse on ingredients: it doesn’t contain many additional ingredients (nuts, berries, etc.). In addition, they often add a large amount of white refined sugar to add flavor.

How to choose the right granola?

In general, the trend for a healthy lifestyle and proper nutrition has tightly entered our lives. And when choosing granola, it is worth paying attention to the order in which the ingredients are listed on the package. According to the regulations, the components in the composition of products are listed in descending order of their mass fraction. For example, if the composition is dominated by sugar, this should raise doubts about the usefulness of the product.

Preference should be given to options without added sugar, without palm oil, without dyes, without preservatives, but with whole nuts, berries and freeze-dried fruits, not candied fruit. And at home, when opening the package, pay attention to the smell: if you feel rancid oil, the product should not be consumed.

In a glass or a creamer put yogurt in layers, then granola, fresh berries or fruit. If necessary, you can sweeten by topping with a natural sugar-free syrup, such as date or agave syrup.
