To sleep with or without clothes is everyone’s choice. The main thing is that people understand the positive and negative consequences of both options.

What does clothing have to do with it? That’s where another scientific paper comes to the rescue. Researchers from Amsterdam found that a lower body temperature during sleep improves its quality. You wake up less often and sleep more deeply. And getting rid of your pajamas is probably the easiest way to cool down.

Less stress
Constant stress can significantly undermine your health: it depresses your immune system, increases your risk of cardiovascular disease, depression and obesity. On top of that, it has a bad effect on thinking skills. Quality night rest helps to reduce the level of cortisol, the stress hormone. And the quality of sleep, as found above, depends, among other things, on clothing.

Fast metabolism
Scientists from the National Institutes of Health of the United States found that if you reduce body temperature during sleep, you can accelerate metabolism. The body then forms more brown fat to keep warm. And it generates heat by burning calories.

In addition, sleeping without clothes improves blood circulation, which is good for the heart and muscles.

Alexandra: For example, a mattress absorbs an average of 500 ml of sweat every night. On top of that, it also absorbs dying skin cells and skin fat. The mattress gets dirty quite quickly. But if a person sleeps in pajamas, the detrimental effect on the mattress becomes lower, because the “main blow” of the pajamas takes on itself. The main thing is to wash them regularly, so that they do not cause damage to the body by contamination.
