In March you can still catch the passing winter and try snowkiting. This is snowboarding or skiing down the slopes on a kite – a special “kite”, which is a controlled wing – a kite – and resembles a paraglider. In addition to the usual ski equipment, you will also need a sling bar to control the wing. You can ride on a slope or snowy expanses. Such training in the fresh air saturates the body with oxygen and relieves stress.

Air acrobatics on canvasses

This sport is gaining popularity and is suitable for everyone. Even those who have never practiced gymnastics can learn the elements of aerial acrobatics on canvases. You will be able to perform simple flips and somersaults at the first lesson – the instructor will explain the subtleties. Some tricks are available in popular air directions – fly yoga, aerostretching. The result is a good stretch and load on the whole body.

Running with your back

An unusual format of running workouts is running with your back. This simple exercise will improve your running technique as a whole, because it is based on the front of the foot, not the heel. The body tilts forward, the legs begin to work properly. This is a useful practice, but there is a nuance: you won’t run like this for a long time. It will be small races for short distances of about 100 meters.

Daniel: Running with your back is best done at a stadium or on a proven ground. I recommend this exercise in combination with other warm-up exercises. It helps to set the technique, work out the correct positioning of legs and feet. It also helps to activate muscles that have not been activated before, especially when climbing uphill. The vestibular apparatus works differently here too, so it’s also good for practicing coordination.

Downhill cycling

Downhill is an extreme trend for those who are passionate about mountain biking. Speed downhill where participants compete against the clock. The race is carried out in equipment with reinforced protection. You can try yourself in this discipline in special parks, there you can also rent equipment.

Slackline

Daniel: Slacklining or walking on a sling develops coordination, self-control, balance and pumps up the muscles of arms, legs, back and abs. The great advantage of this sport is that you can practise it almost anywhere you can find trees between which you can string a rope. Beginners can independently suspend it at a minimum height and start training even without insurance. You will need a 10 to 25 meter sling with a tensioning system. As a rule, for beginners, the height is set at lowline level – no higher than 50 cm above the ground.

Pair training

A good example of strength training without a gym is the “Wife Wearing Championship”, which is held annually in Finland. This is an unusual sport where men cover the distance with their partner on their shoulders. You can include the discipline in your training plan – learn the grip and even invent your own obstacle course. It will be fun and useful.
