On September 18, he returned after a long absence – the main and largest marathon in the heart of the capital. Several tens of thousands of participants together ran 10 km and 42 km to choose from. The race went along the embankments of the Moscow River, past the walls of the Kremlin, the marathoners crossed the Crimean Bridge and saw the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the Bolshoi Theater, Moscow City, Stalin’s high-rises. In addition to such a mass race, there was a corporate relay race and a race on handbikes and racing baby carriages.

This event was held for the first time in 2022 and took place along the shores of Lake Baikal from February 11 to 13. If you have heard of the Burning Man festival and know a little about its concept, you will be able to draw an analogy. But we, of course, will explain. The essence of the SnowMan festival is to create a unique atmosphere in the conditions of the icy desert, volunteers and participants came to the place to bring the idea to life. There, unique ice sculptures were created. And the main rules were civic responsibility and environmental friendliness: the participants were obliged to throw away all the garbage and not to damage the space. And if at Burning Man the sculpture is set on fire to finish the festival, here this “arson” will be the coming of spring. The sun’s rays will cope by themselves and destroy all the ice sculptures.

Salt and dry Lake Elton in the city of Volzhsky, Volgograd region, on August 19, 20 and 21 became the venue for the ULTRA 100 festival of sports, music, cyber technology and self-expression. People shared energy with each other, and music gave them strength. The heat and semi-desert became a good test for marathoners and ultramarathoners, the distances were different, but running was not limited to the passing year. Yoga training and SUP competitions took place there, in addition to that you could climb on the rock climbing wall, jump on the trampoline, ride bicycles or kayaks, go horseback riding, motocross, canoeing. This list can be continued, because the festival turned out to be quite large-scale.

From June 3 to 5 in the Kaluga region in the largest art park in Europe – Nikola-Lenivets – held a large-scale festival SPORT-MARAFON FEST 2022. Especially for it the park was closed for a few days and a camp was organized there, where you could put your own tent or rent it from the organizers. Every year thousands of participants cannot refuse from this festival. They can be understood, because this event united six trail distances, lectures, night runs and runs with animals, bicycle races and orienteering, master classes and shows. SPORT-MARAFON FEST 2022 is a great opportunity to relax with the whole family in nature, meet friends and try themselves in different activities.

Everyone was there: from novice runners to experienced athletes. The festival started with the participants on May 1 with a vertical run to the top of Rosa Peak, every year it gathers about 1000 people who try to conquer the height. The course is 7 kilometers long and the altitude gain is 1150 meters. Because of the choice of marathon dates, participants manage to make a journey between seasons of the year: they start in spring on the Rosa Plateau and finish in the snowdrifts. An important distinction of this festival was the daily workshops, lectures and even parties. Participants had a great opportunity to find like-minded people, to spend four whole days in the mountains, to relax body and soul.

This race was remembered more than the others, because it was the most colorful. Why? This is the “Colorful Run” in Moscow, its distance is 5 km. The route of the race goes around the OK “Luzhniki”. Not only the costumes and wigs of the participants, but also the colors of the hollies color it. So, if on June 5 you saw a dressed up man, sprinkled with all possible colors, you know where he was.

The luck to open the games fell to Saratov. From September 2 to 4 was held a sporting event, which is aimed not only at sports, but also at the development of urban infrastructure. More than a thousand people took part in the event, games were held in 12 disciplines, among which there were not only team, but also individual. There were gala matches in hockey, basketball and soccer, presentations and exhibitions, business and cultural events.

From July 18 to 24 in the Extreme Park in the Crimea was held a festival for thrill-seekers. For those who engage in sports that are not the most obvious. Parkour, street gymnastics, skateboarding, rollerblading and BMX, trampoline freestyle and even walking on a stretched sling. Watching the professionals perform tricks is an incredible spectacle, it’s impossible to take your eyes off. In parallel with the performances of athletes held master classes on zumba, swimming, yoga and several other interesting sports.

This year’s festival was held on July 23 and 24 and spread over three cities at once: Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sochi. This is one of the most popular and large-scale festivals in Russia. Every time it organizes dozens of venues where not only famous musicians perform, but also lectures by stars of cinema, business and journalism, master classes by theater artists, meetings with authors of popular VKontakte publics. Also there you can play board games – this is not the whole list. And about sports, of course, did not forget, there you could play beach volleyball, wakeboarding or dancing.

For many years, Ekaterinburg has held an annual festival that covers venues throughout the city. Platforms for performances are set up in the most popular places, such as the embankment, and bars and restaurants open their doors. All this large-scale spectacle took place on June 24. Musicians of different directions performed: jazz, metal, folk, pop, rock and so on. Incendiary atmosphere covered the whole city, an incredible night walk was guaranteed.

Warm sea breeze, only the brightest people and a lot of creativity – all this is about the festival “Tavrida.ART”, which was held near the city of Sudak in Kapsel Bay in the Crimea from August 16 to 18. It amazed with its scale: 4 thousand participants and even more spectators, a lot of art objects, a large stage, a huge tent city and stands for entertainment. The main goal of the festival is to find and discover new talents. Singers, musicians, stylists, designers, this list can be added to for a long time. Participants could be young people from 18 to 35 years old, a spectator could be from 14 years old. And, of course, there was a large-scale show at the festival, where residents could perform on the same stage with Basta, Lolita and Vanya Dmitrienko.
