How things from movies have become a staple in our closet

Often, when we watch movies, we immediately identify our favorite character, inspired by his actions, manner of communication and style. At all times there have been movies, after which the viewer had the desire to buy the same elements of clothing or shoes that were in the hero. In this article, we recall these movies and the models of sneakers that became iconic after the release of the movies.

Baby’s white sneakers from “Dirty Dancing.”

Dirty Dancing tackles serious issues such as social and economic inequality and a woman’s right to make her own choices. But, in addition to denouncing all these problems, an important place in the movie is occupied by great dancing, catlike plasticity of the heroine and masculine movements of Patrick Swayze.

While the heroine of actress Jennifer Grey is just mastering dance moves, she prefers simple sneakers made of white fabric on thin and flexible soles to traditional shoes with a small heel. They often appear in the frame close-up, so it is simply impossible not to notice them.

Red swimsuit from “Baywatch”

In the early 90’s, actress Pamela Anderson drove men crazy by appearing in a red swimsuit with high cutouts on the hips in the movie “Baywatch”.

The colorful image immediately became iconic. Find a similar beach outfit sought not only Americans, but also girls from around the world. By the way, such a swimsuit can be worn in winter to go to the pool at the gym or in the open with hot thermal water.

Forrest Gump’s Nike sneakers

Nike Cortez are considered one of the brand’s most iconic silhouettes, but a lot of the credit goes to the movie Forrest Gump. It’s impossible to forget that scene when the main character opens the box that Jenny gave him and sees the new Cortez in the iconic red, white and blue colorway.

Forrest’s sneakers allowed him to make a long run across the states of America, attracting other followers, and at Universal Citywalk Park in America, near the bench from the first scene, this model of sneaker is bolted to the pavement for fans of the movie to take commemorative photos.

An alcoholic shirt from “Fight Club.”

The first rule of fight club? Don’t tell anyone about fight club. But no one was forbidden to talk about the main character’s style. It’s hard to imagine Tyler Durden, the role played by Brad Pitt, without three things – an alcoholic T-shirt, a red leather jacket and a bathrobe.

The aesthetics of his images presents us an arrogant and slightly vulgar macho, but things from his closet liked many moviegoers, including Justin Bieber. Brad Pitt’s character is the main style icon in the movie. He is a rebel and the head of an underground organization who can’t resist wide collar shirts and aviator glasses. In other scenes, we see Pitt in one alcoholic T-shirt and baggy jeans or topless.

Black Converse sneakers from “Diary of a Basketball Player.”

Scott Calvert’s heavy teen drama, in which a young DiCaprio struggles with drug addiction and says goodbye to his desire to be a basketball player, focuses a lot on Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers. They get as much screen time in this movie as the main characters in the picture.

Here, sneakers are not just shoes, but a symbol of the struggle for a dream. Although they successfully survive dozens of matches, by the end of the movie they become badly worn out. This philosophy captures the viewer of any age, but the theme of finding yourself and following your desires is very close to teenagers, so it is not surprising that this movie and black brand sneakers are very popular among the younger generation.
