7 outdoor games for the whole family

It’s high time to shake shashliks and do something active.

On May holidays, many residents of big cities rush to the dacha or simply go out of town for shashliks. We tell you how not to get bored in a big company and have a really active vacation.

Giant Jenga

You can buy the game in a store or make it yourself, which can also become a fun activity for the whole family. You will need 21x7x4 cm blocks to recreate a large version of the famous board game. Stack three blocks per level to build a tower. Then each player removes one bar at a time, trying not to unbalance the structure. The game ends when the tower collapses.

Badminton

If you’re more into traditional games, take a closer look at badminton. If you’re not going to organize a professional tournament, you won’t even need a net to play. Be careful when choosing shuttlecocks: feather shuttlecocks are not suitable for the street due to their low wind resistance.

Cup races

If the weather outside does not allow you to play with water pistols without the threat of catching a cold, we suggest organizing a cup race. You will need plastic cups and some ropes. Make a hole in the bottom of the cups and put a string in each of them. Fix the ends with tape on the wall so that the glasses are at the same distance from it. Slide them to one edge and on command start: under the pressure of water the glasses will move along the rope. The most accurate and fastest wins.

Sack Race

A fun relay race game for a big company. Divide into teams, and at a distance of ten meters (you can and more) put the object to which the participants must jump. Each player must pass the route and pass the baton. The team whose players are faster wins.

Frisbee

For the game you will need a plastic disk. The player’s task is to throw it as accurately as possible into the hands of another participant. If you’re going on a picnic with your pet, a frisbee is also a great option.

A target ladder

A stepladder can be not only a great assistant in repair and household, but also an inventory for a fun game. In many ways, it is similar to darts. Designate each gap between the steps as a certain zone of points. For example, the narrowest area is 50 points and the widest area is 10 points. Take a tennis ball and try to hit the most difficult areas to collect as many points as possible.

Towns

The essence of the game is to build a “town” out of five cylinders and knock it out from a certain distance with a bat. The winner is the team that knocked out all the figures, spending the least number of throws. Nowadays special sets with equipment are sold, but you can do quite well with approximately the same bars of wood.
