Where to stay?

In Vladivostok the level of service is growing due to the increase of tourist demand. There are good chain and non-network hotels, hostels appear. One of the most favorable options is guest houses. Apartments and apartments can be found even in the city center, but the prices will not quite regional. Popular and recreation centers on the beaches. The level of quality and prices can vary.

What to see?

Egersheld Lighthouse. It is one of the most popular places in Vladivostok. In the mornings you can meet a picturesque sunrise here. And during high tide the possibility to get to it will become a small adventure, because you will have to walk ankle-deep in water.

Cape Tobizina. It is located near Vladivostok, so you can get to the picturesque rocks by car or even by cab without going far from the city.

Vladivostok. It is called one of the gastronomic capitals of Russia. Seafood of high quality and inexpressible taste can be found here both in expensive restaurants and in markets at very pleasant prices.

Sakhalin Region

When to go: the peak tourist season is July through September. However, as in July can be frankly unlucky with the weather, and September can sometimes surprise with a beautiful Indian summer. But you should take warm clothes in any case – the sea and the wind can unite against you.

How to get there?

By plane. There are direct flights from Moscow. Tickets should be taken in advance: closer to the departure dates the prices will increase.

Train + ferry. Since Sakhalin is an island, you can get by train only to Khabarovsk, then the ferry from the port of Vanino will come to your aid. However, this option should be considered by those travelers who are not limited in time. You will be able to buy tickets for the ferry only on the spot, without prior booking. That means that no one guarantees you the possibility to leave the day in a day.

Silent Bay. A really beautiful place where you can feel yourself alone with nature. Bay, seagulls, spring with clear water, rocks and sandy strip.

Frog Mountain and Aichor Waterfall. This mountain, which really resembles a frog, will please you with the fact that it is easy to climb. Even with children, climbing the peak will be more like a pleasant walk than climbing an inaccessible mountain peak. The mountain offers a beautiful view. This place is considered to be the energy center of Sakhalin.

Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The city itself is a landmark of the region. It pleases tourists with beautiful views, local history museums and spa hotels. The local resort “Mountain Air” is rightfully recognized as one of the best places in Russia for lovers of winter mountain sports.

Kamchatka region

When to go: the best time to travel to Kamchatka is August, when the weather is most comfortable for walking and traveling.

How to get there.

By airplane only. The airport is located near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, in the town of Yelizov. For August, tickets should be bought six months in advance, then prices start to rise.

You should look for accommodation as soon as you buy airplane tickets. You can find apartments and hotels on the sites “Ostrovok”, “Avito”, “Yandex.Real Estate”. Be prepared that there are good options in the price-quality ratio, but you will have to look for them.
