Variants of PP-breakfasts are now inordinately many. One of the undoubted leaders in this category – oatmeal pancake. It serves as a full-fledged replacement for the already quite boring oatmeal porridge, while more nutritious and tasty.

What is it? The composition of the pancake, as a rule, includes three main ingredients: oat flakes, water or milk and an egg. In addition, you can diversify the dish with various additives, for example, dried fruits. The filling for such a pancake can be very different, and salty and sweet: starting from vegetables, herbs and cheese, ending with berries, fruits and cottage cheese. It’s a matter of taste and imagination!

How useful is oatmeal pancake?

Oatmeal pancake contains plant fibers necessary for the body, which give a feeling of satiety for the whole day. For those who are thin – it’s just a godsend, both tasty and nourishing! Oatmeal is rich in vitamins such as A, B and E, which help to improve the quality of skin, hair and nails. It also has a lot of minerals, fiber, folic and ascorbic acids, which are so necessary for both adult and children’s bodies.

Using oat pancake regularly for breakfast, you can speed up the work of the gastrointestinal tract, reducing the load on it.

How to cook oatmeal pancake?

Now there are so many different variants of cooking this dish – everyone who follows his nutrition has his own recipe. We suggest cooking the following.

You will need:

  • oatmeal – 2 tablespoons;
  • milk – 30 ml;
  • egg – 1 pc;
  • salt – to taste.

You can either grind oatmeal to the state of flour with a blender, or leave whole flakes – as you prefer. Pour them with milk and leave them for 10-15 minutes. Separately beat the egg with salt, then add the cereal with milk to the egg mass and stir thoroughly.

Pour the resulting mixture on a dry heated skillet and fry on both sides until ready. You can fill with finely chopped herbs, tomatoes and cheese, or bananas, honey and cottage cheese. It’s a matter of taste, imagination and mood! The calorie content of such a breakfast (without stuffing) will be about 255 kcal.
