In the last week of December there is no escape from the joyful hustle and bustle. But what to do if the festive mood does not come, no matter how much the tree is dressed up?

New Year’s mood is not about the fact that you are straining from the last effort, trying to organize a holiday.

Why don’t you feel the holiday?

If you are tired for this year – and, as a rule, in December everyone has a full house and no energy – you are not at all up to dreams, wish cards and everything that relates in one way or another to the holiday. In that case, you’ve got your adult, parental part more involved. And the child part elementary does not have enough space to manifest. That is, to feel your New Year’s mood, you can have your own special system – traditions, rituals, habits. And they do not have to coincide with the traditions of others.

What mistakes are often made?

Perhaps the main mistake is some universal way to create a New Year’s mood. The same tangerines, for example. But maybe for you the New Year mood is a nutcracker toy, or the play “The Nutcracker”, or New Year’s fairy tales, or you had a family tradition to go to the amusement park and ride the carousel on New Year’s Eve.

And for there to be the opportunity and strength to “notice the magic,” a state of relaxation is required. It is important to take walks, eat good food. Perhaps it is worth ordering food for the holiday table, instead of cooking everything yourself, or even reduce the number of dishes.

New Year’s mood should not manifest itself in the fact that you are straining from the last effort, trying to organize a holiday. On the contrary, you need to relax, recover, feel that there is an opportunity to “be in the magic”.
