A modest house in his native village

Khabib’s home is located in the high mountainous Dagestani village of Sildi, which can be reached only by a winding mountain road. The village has no internet, no hospital or even a store, and food is brought to the villagers by Kamaz. Several thousand people used to live in Sildi, but in the 90s there was a mass exodus. People were given housing and jobs in the plains, so now only about 200 people live permanently in Sildi.

Habib’s family also left their native village in the mid-90s, but the fighter himself and his relatives often return to the house on Nurmagomedov Street. It was named after the athlete’s uncle, world sambo champion Nurmagomed Nurmagomedov. Despite the huge fees and advertising contracts, the family home in Sildy looks as modest as in the childhood of the future UFC star. No high fence, no expensive finishes. Inside, if the guests are to be believed, there is no hint of luxury either. The house has only two rooms, a pantry and a tiny kitchen.

Although Khabib has not lived in Sildi for many years, he regularly visits his native village. The fighter communicates with the locals and goes jogging in the mountains. Often in the house of Nurmagomedov family and friends gather at a set table.

Apartment in Makhachkala

With the development of his career in the UFC, Khabib began to travel a lot around the world. In his “instagram” you can find pictures from different continents, but the athlete’s home, according to his confession, is in Makhachkala. His wife Patimat and three children live there. It is known that the apartment of the fighter is located in the same house as his father and coach Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. Khabib admits that the increased attention to himself tires him. Therefore, being in Makhachkala, he does not often leave the house. A few years ago, Khabib’s father talked about plans to build his own large house in the capital of Dagestan. In addition, the athlete is often on business in Moscow.

Long business trips to the United States

During the preparation for fights, Khabib Nurmagomedov lives in the United States, in the city of San Jose, California, where the hall of the American Academy of Kickboxing is located. There he trains under the guidance of academy founder Javier Mendez, who is considered one of the best specialists in tactics in mixed martial arts.

Khabib usually spends one to several months a year in the United States. It is not known whether the Russian fighter rents a place in San Jose or has purchased real estate.
