Active weekdays: how to join free online training sessions

Last week it became known that quarantine measures in our country will last until the end of April. While going to the gym has become temporarily impossible, and you still want to keep fit, fitness enthusiasts are saved by online workouts. These home workouts are completely free and most don’t require any equipment. We’ve selected a few resources to help you stay active even within the four walls.

“The Championship

Staying in shape while sitting at home isn’t easy. But we know it can be done! Every morning you can join online workouts, which we organize together with our friends of “Championship”. Professional instructors in functional training, yoga and stretching will explain the technique of each exercise live and give you motivation for the whole day.

Broadcasts are posted in the official “Championship” public forum in VKontakte. The schedule of classes for the week ahead is also published there. And if suddenly you don’t have time to join the morning broadcast, don’t worry! It will be saved in the group’s videos, so you can perform the exercises at any time.

Nike

It seems that only the laziest person hasn’t heard of the Nike Training Club app. The program contains more than 100 different workouts for all muscle groups, tips on proper nutrition and recipes from famous athletes. Each session is accompanied by detailed audio explanations and video demonstrations of exercises. To start training, you just need to download the application, register, honestly choose your level of training and your favorite direction.

And for running fans, a free Nike Run Club program is available. In addition, this week the brand is launching a separate series of online workouts for runners at home. They will be conducted by athlete and blogger Maria Malysheva, head coach of the Russian national track and field team Yuri Borzakovsky, Instagram star Yan Gordienko, Russian 400-meter champion Polina Miller and NRC instructor Maria Lyzhina. To join the classes, you need to register on the local platform NikeMoscow.com, find out the schedule and follow the link to the athlete’s IGTV at the right time.

In addition, the brand has created a whole online project #hometeam. It is conceived for the quarantine period to support all those who have to stay at home. Within the framework of the project, professional instructors, famous athletes and celebrities conduct trainings, master classes, tournaments, music concerts and answer your questions live on Instagram. You can follow the current schedule and location of broadcasts in the official adidas Russia account.

Reebok

Reebok has launched an online marathon for those who like to organize personal challenges. The brand representatives are sure that fitness unites. That is why every day professional trainers publish a certain task in Reebok Russia stories in Instagram, as well as show in detail the technique of exercises.

Those who manage all the tasks, capture them on video and fulfill a couple more easy rules of the marathon will have a chance to win a valuable prize – a personalized exercise and nutrition plan for working from home from a certified nutritionist and personal trainer.

Crocus Fitness

All the capital’s fitness clubs have closed for quarantine, but for them it was not a reason to stop training. Starting from April 6, Crocus Fitness instructors hold daily full-fledged classes in the center’s Instagram account. This week subscribers are waiting for not only functional trainings for all muscle groups, but also Pilates, yoga and even dance classes.

The current schedule of broadcasts can be found on the official website. Especially for those who couldn’t wake up for the start of the workout, its recording is saved in IGTV. Stay active anytime!

7 Minute Workout

A workout app for very busy people. Each workout, organized according to the effective Japanese Tabata protocol, really won’t take you more than seven minutes. But during this time every muscle of the body will be involved.

For clarity, the program has a visual accompaniment to all exercises and an online timer that regulates the time of intensive work and rest between approaches.

FitStar Yoga

Another application in which the format of workouts is extremely close to individual sessions with a trainer. The exercise program was created by Tara Stiles, the founder of a popular yoga studio in New York. Everything starts with simple sessions that help to assess your level of preparation, and then the load is gradually increased. Each practice has video, audio and, most importantly, music accompaniment. In yoga it is important to be able to let go of heavy thoughts, and calm compositions will help you to relax and abstract.
